Delicious food! My favorite thing to have here is the chicken Marsala and the mushroom soup. I’ve had a lot of the specials as well and they are all fantastic. The menu truly is a pan Mediterranean. Italian, French, Spanish, Greek, and North African. Delicious! This place is a real hidden gem. Abe is a wonderful chef, host and has become a great friend over the years!

We stopped by late one night at 9 PM, just an hour before closing, and were graciously taken care of by the chef/owner. We ordered the gnocchi (it usually comes with chicken, but he happily subbed vegetables when I asked for no chicken) and Penne Salmon.

Wow! This was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. I had the mushroom risotto special with duck. The fresh bread and salad before entrees was delicious with high quality olive oil and vinaigrette. The service was excellent. The chef came out to say hello afterwards which was a special treat. He told us more about his eclectic background and his approach to cooking which was fascinating. We were visiting from Portland. I think we will make a special trip to this restaurant when we come back to Seattle. We walked here from our hotel in the University District and it was a lovely walk through a nice residential neighborhood.

I love this place. The atmosphere is calm but welcoming and the servers are so nice. The food takes a little while to come out but the wait is worth it. The textures and flavors you experience are amazing and the chef is extremely kind. One of my favorite places in Seattle by far.

This quiet, unassuming restaurant is truly a diamond among rocks. The food is genuine, scrumptious, and fully and lovingly made by hand and it shows. The portions are fantastic. We got the lobster ravioli and the ribeye for our mains, and WOW. The sauce with the steak was perfectly complimentary, not overpowering and adding to the depths of flavor. The steal itself was soft and juicy, with a delicate sear. It also came with some delicious penne and greens. The ravioli was rich and the sauce was creamy and succulent. The lobster was delicate, the ravioli itself was perfectly chewy and soft, the dough obviously handmade.

Food was average – nothing too compelling to make me come again. Service was excellent. Ambiance was ok but the place, overall, felt a bit worn out.

This is a delightful, unassuming little neighborhood restaurant. Went for my husband’s birthday and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our waiter was great, and super friendly. We had a yummy eggplant starter, chicken marsala, and seafood paella. All tasty. Prices were very reasonable, given how expensive everyplace is these days. We will for sure return.

The best mushroom soup I’ve ever ever had. It’s sweet and savory. The chef Abe shared the recipe with us. There’s no sugar in the soup but it was delightful. He said he sauté mushroom with red wine with marinara so it’s sweet bc wine is sweet. Then cream and if you add more variety of mushroom, it’s like wine, the more the better. I love this place. Long live Abe
