Food: good, about what you would expect from a Hibachi restaurant.

The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. The prices may seem high, but you certainly get what you pay for. The Hibachi chefs are skilled and entertaining. Zou also offers more traditional Japanese seating, which I thought was a very nice touch.

First time here. The smell was amazing. I love the seating layout! Hibachi was cool! They even have little tables where you can get the experience of sitting on the floor while eating. Very authentic. Sushi was fresh

I had not been here before and others in our group of 6 had only been there for sushi. This was all of ours first hibachi experience here.

Great service and food is excellent! But the last 2 times we were there there was staff yelling and fooling around where the food is made up. I’m usually not one to complain. We won’t be going back.

We had reservations for 7p. When we arrived, there was no one at the reservation desk. After waiting 15 minutes, we were asked if our party of 6 were OK sharing the habatchi table. We were then seated next to several seats with dirty dishes for my entire meal (see pic). There was a lot of food on the floor, under my seat. We never received soup or salad. The waitress apologized and said she was busy and trying “to get the job.” Our bill was never comped. We paid $30 a dinner, even though we ordered 3 childrens plates and never received soup or salad. Our sauces arrived at the end of the meal. Never was asked for a drink refill. The habatchi chef was great. The food flavor is very good. Service was very sub-par. Check came to $200/3 adults, 3 children. Will never return.

Our third attempt to eat at Zou’s was frustrating. We made a reservation as recommended but when we got there we were told that we would have to pay for three guest because we were a party of 2. This policy is not in writing, that we saw. Also they are not specific if our party would have to pay extra for an adult or a child. We will not be back…..

I only eat the rock shrimp and it’s so delicious and the sauce that comes with it. My daughter likes everything she orders. I’m just not into rice.

This place has gone downhill. My chicken teriyaki was totally dry, the teriyaki was literally added as an afterthought. The waitress brought it out first without it. Chicken teriyaki without teriyaki. Amazing. My daughter’s lo mein had way too much black pepper, which she dislikes and which is not a spice you expect at a Japanese restaurant. The waitress never filled our waters and didn’t check on us until after we were almost done with our entrees. I got the impression that the place was going out of business or something. Friday night and nobody sitting at the hibachi tables. And the place was dead. The ambience is okay, they play Chinese pop music in the Japanese themed dining area.
