This place has amazing sandwiches I tried eggplant and chicken Parmesan- freshest soft bread , nicely done eggplant and chicken with right amount of sauce and cheese . They do have good collection of local beers . The cherry on the cake is very very warm and welcoming people ….. it will make you smile and your tummy too..

I order couple sandwiches. I’m standing around waiting for 25 minutes as they called the numbers. Looking at my ticket, I’m number 79. Finally when they call 79 I go to get it and they were like no you’re number 1. They had been calling 1 for a while by that point. (look at the picture can you see a number one?) Now my hot sandwich is cold and the girl at the counter couldn’t be bothered to even offer an apology. So rude. Will never go here again. Worst part, it wasn’t even worth the wait, the tri-tip and the Castroville sandwiches were both really bland.

I got a chicken parm sandwich there and it came with mushrooms on it. I didn’t order mushrooms. Mushrooms weren’t on any of the menus saying the sandwich came with them. I despise mushrooms. I didn’t realize it had them until a few bites in and I was wondering why this sandwich doesn’t taste as good as it should. What if I had a mushroom allergy? Who puts mushrooms on a chicken parm anyway?? Boo erns.

Here for a family wedding. I am from Florida, and my nephew was in charge of finding the best places for food and lunch was on the hunt. We decided on sandwiches and he found Zoccoli’s. We found street parking and headed inside. It was a busy place but it was quick and easy to order. I got the BLT with avocado. There is plenty of tables outside but we opted to go back to our hotel to eat in the beautiful courtyard. I was so happy with my selection. The bacon was crispy and the tomato, lettuce and avocado were selected for the makings of the perfect combination. The rest of my family loved their sandwiches too. This is definitely a go-to sandwich shop. Btw- it’s a little store too, so getting chips, chocolate or something else is an option.

What’s for lunch? Zoccoli’s Italian Deli. Another local fav with the best sandwiches and bread. I go back and forth between a basic turkey sandwich, but today I was craving a French dip. This deli is awesome, they have a variety of specialty sandwiches, desserts, cheese, and even wine. They are located in downtown Santa Cruz at the end near the town clock.

Decent deli that is clearly very popular! Plenty of options to fit any taste, lots of drinks and chips to flesh out that meal and all reasonably priced. Got the chicken parm sandwich and hoped for a bit more flavor from the sauce. Some seating outside but busy during the weekend rush.
