The only African food I’ve ever tried was jollof rice and I had a taste for it while visiting D.C. When I went into the restaurant I wasn’t greeted which made the experience not that welcoming. As stated I’ve only tried jollof rice so I had questions about a few of the meats offered by the restaurant. The cashier Funmi talked very low when answering my questions and kept it short. I was the only one there so it was no rush. Each item I purchased was charged separately which made it a bit pricey. They charged me $10.99 for 3 pieces of assorted meat (cow foot, beef, tripe). For $10 I would expect a whole separate container of meat just like everything else. I didn’t get $27.47 worth of food. Overall the taste of the food was the best thing but the customer service and food price can be worked on.

So I went to this place for the first time on father’s day because my original African restaurant that I usually go to was closed. These people are a rip off, how are you going to charge separately for each item and not put it in different containers so I get more for my money? Instead they pack it in so it looks full. Also they got my order all wrong. I asked for red stew on my jollof rice and she give me this green stuff. I asked for a separate order of plantains and she puts it on my rice. I ask for goat meat in my okra stew and she says it’s $12 for 3 and continues to repeat it as if I can’t afford it or something. I said ok to the price and the lady turns around and gives me fish. I asked for a side of white rice with my okra stew and I get fufu, I hate fufu! In conclusion, the food tasted horrible and I had to trash it and order American food instead!!! NEVER AGAIN! I should have known not to go there when I called before hand to place my order and the guy on the other end was completely rude and wouldn’t take my order and told me to “just come, come, we have everything.” I explained I don’t want to wait because I have to be at work that’s why I want to call a head of time and he just kept repeating, “just come, come.” When I went, guess what, I had to wait 20min! Drove 40min just to not get what I asked for, NEVER AGAIN, I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!! My African people DO BETTER please!!!

Food was incredible. The egusi and pounded yam was delicious, we asked the lady what she recommended, she ended up adding a little more food than we wanted but she was so sweet. Inside isn’t the fanciest place to sit and eat at but we’re definitely coming back.

THIS IS THE WORST NIGERIAN RESTAURANT EVER!!!!!!! My friend bought $110 worth of food. We placed the order online 30-40 minutes upon arrival, the food service was not only prepared but the customer service was completely terrible beyond belief. They were picking at the food about 10 minutes (I assume to pick out the bad parts) before placing it onto the plate. They were not so generous with the portion sizes. When we were finally able to leave, we decided to check the food. They messed up some of our order. They then resolved the issue so, we decided to go home. When we were finally able to eat, we opened the plate and quickly we caught the stench of the food. The white rice smelt as though it has gone bad. The goat meat, the asu and the Jollof rice had a very off smell to it. We could not eat the food, are stomachs started to hurt. We will be reaching out to the manager as soon as possible regarding this issue.

I ordered cassava no rice or fufu i dontveat with it just goat meat. So i was charged $12.00 plus tax she gave just one piece of goat meat and the Cassava was mainly oil because the pan had nothing left it it. It was better when the Spanish lady ran things in there.

This restaurant serves a variety of West African food. Parking is available in front of the restaurant but is limited. Choose to dine in or take away. The dine in area is spacious and can accommodate a sizable party. I got my favorite drink – Malt here. Server was courteous and remembered my order from an earlier phone call in the day. Food was good.
