Close to perfection! I don’t want to oversell it, and I am pretty stingy with my five-star ratings, but this diner is simply off the charts incredible. It’s a small neighborhood diner in a nondescript shopping center, with an unmatched warmth of hospitality and unbelievable food. I am not exaggerating, the dishes are the elevated kind you’d pay double for at a strip restaurant with a big name on the marquee. The pictures here do not do it justice, it really is some of the best breakfast food I’ve had in my entire life, kudos to the staff, especially the chef and cooks here! And they even give you a complementary warm chocolate chip cookie fresh from the oven with your check!

Always looking for locally own places and saw the ratings on this locally black owned business and was so glad that we gave them a try. FANTASTIC! The food was beautifully presented and tasted even better. True biscuit and gravey (actual sausage gravey and not the usual milk gravey). The cinnamon roll cake, a must. High-quality food. The complimentary warm chocolate chip cookie

I asked for the Salmon Benedict, but shortly after ordering, the chef came out to apologize for not having salmon. He offered crab or shrimp instead. I chose the crab and was not disappointed! The hash browns were basic, but tasty. And I got a fresh-baked chocolate chip cookie with a warm icing drizzle with the check. Service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend and would return again

I’m always looking for vegan-friendly places especially for breakfast. I’d heard good things about their food and having few vegan items on the menu. They were pretty busy on a Saturday morning at about 11am, maybe 75% full, but we got seated right away. I had to ask for the separate vegan menu after we were seated and I saw nothing on the regular menu was vegan (except maybe the avocado toast – which was not on the vegan menu?). The server pointed out that they only had the breakfast sandwich and a tofu scramble available right now out of maybe 5 or 6 items. The other items were sandwiches I think, and I wanted breakfast anyway. So I got the breakfast sandwich which came with “fries” but were more like chunky seasoned breakfast potatoes. Bonus that they have almond milk and sugar in the raw for the coffee. When I got my plate, At first glance it seemed a little skimpy for $15, but it was actually quite a lot of food and really delicious! The sandwich was a vegan chicken patty (breaded and fried), a hash brown patty, thin slices of avocado, red onion, and raw jalapeño, and a little vegan mayo on a toasted bun. Not a huge sandwich but a perfect portion. The thinly sliced red onions were a little too strong so I took the rest off after my first bite. The potatoes were perfectly cooked too – crispy outside, soft and fluffy inside. I thought maybe ketchup would be needed, but they were lightly coated and great plain. My husband (not vegan) ordered the chicken fried steak plate, and he liked that as well. The owner (assuming) came by to check on us and said they will be adding to their vegan menu, which is great to hear! We will be returning again whenever we’re in the area.

Visiting from Texas… yelp led us here. It was SO good! We wanted to just hang out there until we were hungry again to try out more! The avocado toast was the best I’ve ever had! The parfait was so fresh! I want to go back. Good relaxed family dining atmosphere.

My spouse and I were hungry for some lunch. I wanted to have something easy and light so when I looked up places nearby, Zenaida’s Cafe popped up! The reviews looked great and the menu was simple and cost friendly. My partner ordered the chicken fried steak and he inhaled it so fast I looked away for 2 seconds and it was gone. I ordered the salmon latkes with the horseradish slaw on top. That was seriously so good and refreshing. I also ordered the salmon Benedict which is my go to for brunch and it was perfectly cooked! The service was amazing and they took really good care of us. The whole experience was about an hour including leaving and getting back to our house down the street. After we paid they gave us some complimentary chocolate chip cookies which were so soft and gooey and definitely delicious. Seems like they use very high quality ingredients and make all the food with love. We will definitely be back!
