Stopped in on a whim after shopping next door – so glad we did. Got the Blue Ridge roll & Angry Dragon roll. It was perfect. We dined a little before the true dinner rush hits – seated immediately, food only took about 10 or 15 mins to come out, was so fresh & delicious. The Angry Dragon roll had some crunch, and a little spice that slowly feel after you have your bite. It wasn’t overwhelming, had me ready to grab another bite. The flavor combos were in perfect harmony. The Blue Ridge had a lighter taste & when paired with the Angry Dragon, they complimented each other well. The Blue Ridge had cream cheese on it which was a wonderful texture compliment to the crunch, and made the roll seem to melt in my mouth. Again, I can’t rave enough about how the textures, and taste combos combined so perfectly in our meal. I generally like sushi, but this was an experience. I’m pretty sure I’ll be comparing any other sushi I have to what I got to experience at Zen. The portion size was great, & very satisfying. I felt full, but not stuffed. The perfect meal.

Zen is always lovely. Their roll selection is amazing, the environment is peaceful and the staff are friendly and attentive (but not overly attentive). Price is pretty reasonable for a place of this quality. My girlfriend and I love this place for a date night.

We were visiting Burnsville NC and had to run to Asheville for fresh trout from a shop below Zen and we were hungry for lunch and we decided to try out the Zen Sushi, they were very nice as they were closing tables down for the day. They did seat us and what a delight!!! It was awesome!! The food was very fresh and so tasty!! Good prices too! Will definitely return when we visit Asheville again!! Keep up the great work!!!

Extremely disappointed with our delivery order tonight. We ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp and the udon noodles with chicken. There was a tiny amount of steak, and then I had to pick through the noodles to even find the chicken. I ended up taking all of the chicken out and weighing it because it was so ridiculous. It was 1.9 oz of chicken, which was also totally over cooked and not salted or seasoned at all. I took two bites of chicken and dumped the rest. I’ve been eating in the restaurant since 2008. This was my first time ordering delivery, and it certainly doesn’t make me want to eat there again.

Excellent flavor, very filling sushi. I got a Philadelphia roll this time around but I’ve also had the Blue Ridge and the double dragon roll which are both amazing. The cooks that you can sit in front of are talkative and fun. Quick service.
