Me and husband ordered a chicken sandwich combo and a beef combo with 2 cups of cheese and a shake. The chicken sandwich was so dry and burnt I couldn’t even eat it. The cheese sauce looked like mustard and was absolutely disgusting. It looked like it had been sitting out for awhile. The only thing that was actually good was the chocolate shake. My husband beef sandwiches was subpar at best. We paid $30 for food that I couldn’t even eat and my husband said wasn’t even good.

If you don’t know Zels, it’s roast beef, burgers and Nathan’s hot dogs. You can get chili and cheese with almost everything as well. If you don’t like those three move on. If you like any of those three, good stuff.

The people there were amazing! But I ordered two hot dogs mustard and onion only, and I could not see the hot dog or half the bun for the amount of onions that wereput on that hot dog. Even though I stopped there for a pickup order, hot dogs were cold fries were extremely over salted

I love the cook, he actually gives you what you ask for as far as how you want your beef. The other staff look really grumpy all the time. The beef is a beef, it’s not very seasoned so is pretty plain tasting and the fries are okay. It’s extremely overpriced for what it is though, but I do go back because it’s close to where I live. I’ll be trying the other beef place up the road soon to see if they’re any better.

Food is still good when they make it fresh. But the prices are getting ridiculous. They also stopped including fries with orders, and now charge extra. They also have been slowly cutting back in food quality, such as making their buns smaller

I got the b-b-q beef, and it was delicious, but also very messy. At this Zel’s you have to buy French fries separately now where before it automatically came with each sandwich. Fries seemed undercooked.

$28 for 2 RB sandwiches with only mozzarella cheese and 1order of fries!! Half a dozen times in the last 2 months I called ahead to make sure the dining room was open. Made it there WAY before they stated, only to find they decided to close earlier than stated. Never a problem with how the SMALLER MORE EXPENSIVE sandwiches tasted (2 stars) but will never go back again.

I’ve been eating at Zells for over 30 years. I remember a time when the beef sandwiches were chunked full of beef the sandwiches were huge. Now I would say that they have cut the beef in half meaning I have more bread than beef. The taste still is good and they also stopped giving fries away with the sandwiches and hot dogs. I know it’s family-owned and someone in the family has made a poor decision.
