This is a hidden gem in Kensington section of Berlin. We had the burgers which are on special every Tuesday. Burgers were great, service even better. I will be back for the Chicago Dog next time. Outdoor seating perfect on a day like today. Does a respectable lunch business.

My partner and I decided to try Zack’s on a Tuesday when they run their two burgers for the price of one promo. We both both heavily disappointed by the size of our sandwiches. You’re paying roughly $7 a burger and not expecting something you’d get at McDonald’s. It was very flat and lacked fixings. We did enjoy our fries. Won’t be going back there.

Wasn’t impressed. Some times a dive can be outstanding so I don’t judge a book by its cover. First step inside and you want to walk out, but could be a good dive joint. Ordered double w parm fries and a small drink. Almost $18.

It’s a small mom and pop shop with quality food. As a vegetarian I am quite impressed with their black bean burger. It’s not some frozen patty that is void of flavor but instead what seems like a black bean mash cooked in patty form. Its local, its consistent, its comfort food. Don’t sleep on this place! Getting a seat is a gamble, would suggest ordering take out.

Went today for lunch with my kids. They were a little restless and acting wild when we sat down, to which I quickly scolded them and told them to get it together (which they did). The waitress was an absolute nightmare. She was so unbelievably nasty, she was so appalled at the fact that my 3 year old daughter slapped her hands down on the table (I don’t know why she did this, she’s 3) that she like jumped back and gasped – as if my little girl was going to hurt her or something. Totally dramatic! I then took her to the bathroom and my 12 and 8 l year old told me that while I was gone, she literally threw their juice boxes on the table without a word. My kids were freaked out. She was so rude and short tempered. I can completely understand being stressed or frustrated, but I had already handled my kids behavior, and there was only one other table sitting at the time. So if she can’t handle two tables, then I don’t think waitressing is the right line of work for her. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special. I did like the fries. It’s very hot in there, and it needs some good cleaning and updating. Do yourself a favor and head to wayback burgers where they aren’t afraid of, or hate children.

I have to say that this place has unfortunately fallen from grace. Back a few years ago this place was awesome, food was great and all was right in the world. I don’t know what happened, maybe they changed management or changed their recipes, but the place is no longer what it used to be. They tell you to pick up your food in 20mins and when you do, you discover the food has been sitting there for 10-15mins so you’re getting the food already luke warm if not cold (and we all know what that does to fries). One of my favorite dishes were the chilli cheese fries, as of about a year ago now they changed it and now it is not good. I know how good the food was and that is no longer the case. Meat quality also went down. Too bad.

I’ve been dining at zacks burgers for years. I took my girlfriend out on our first date there. The food is always amazing and there’s never a long wait for the food they must using magic or something in the back because they serve quite literally the best burgers and fries and shakes I’ve ever had the staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is always chill I highly recommend zacks burgers as the best burger joint in not just berlin or even all of ct but probably the best in all of new England as well godspeed zacks burgers

Decided to do a takeout lunch and chose the footlong Chicago Dog, crunchy fries and a large strawberry milkshake. First time here and I wasn’t disappointed! I ordered my lunch ahead of time and was told 12 minutes for pick up, and sure enough, it was 12 minutes when it was ready. Super friendly staff, clean place, and plenty of parking available. Pricing was on par.

This place has a variety of Home Cooking with a kick of spaz and it is great! The staff is professional and the food tastes really good! I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a juicy great taste in Burger zesty fries and just great service!
