Dinner for Fathers Day at Zack’s was simply the best!!! Our party of five ordered 4 different dishes with sides and 3 different apps. It’s a rare occurance when everything on all plates comes out of the kitchen just perfect. Started with bacon wrapped scallops, fried calamari, and clams on the half shell, check off 5 stars. My dinner was the filet and scallops with long grain wild rice with rainbow carrotts , brocolli, two perfect sized filets can out as ordered, medium rare was so tender, the filets had a nice sized scallop resting on top. Other orders were the seafood stew, includes shrimp, scallops, clams in a light sauce, pork loin with a brandy sauce, mashed potatoes with bacon and cheese (yummy). Duck breast everything was perfect. Consensus is we will not wait for Fathers Day next year to revisit Zack’s. Our server was super attentive, very helpful and knowledgeable in the nights menu aiding our group in making their dinner decisions, service with a smile. What more could you ask for. The portion sizes were just right, I almost left out dessert, decadent Godiva chocolate cheese cake (enough said) Also had a slice of Key Lime pie… Great job Zack’s

Unfortunately, Zack and Lynne retire and close their doors after this NYE dinner.

The food was delicious its a very small place maybe 12 tables and a bar but worth the wait.

Good food. Good service. Prime rib was extremely tender. So much so you could literally cut it with a butter knife. I felt the flavor was a little bland, but really enjoyed the creamy horse radish sauce which added quite a bit of flavor. Seafood pot pie with puff pastry was very tasty. Portions are quite large. Took carrot cake home for dessert home and it was really yummy. Very casual atmosphere. Bar is quite close to the dining area, but not loud. Restaurant is not fancy, but clean and staff is friendly and efficient.

What a pleasant surprise! We’ve been wanting to go here for years. We expected a pub type menu. I had the best swordfish I’ve had in years. It was cooked to perfection. My son ( who is a foodie) said his fried scallops were the best he’s ever had. My husband couldn’t rave enough about his shrimp and sea scallops over ravioli. Our waitress was amazing. The icing on the cake was the fact that because it was 9-11 a portion of our bill was donated by Zack’s to a memorial fund for local families that perished on 9-11. Thank you Zack’s

Our daughter (7) can’t stop raving about her fish and chips. “It was delicious, crunchy outside & soft middle! The fries were golden and delicious!” We each had the special, chicken and shrimp over chipotle Mac n cheese! Savory and filling. Very good service and homey atmosphere!

Awesome, off the beaten path place to truly enjoy a meal. About a year ago we came across this place by accident. Best accident I’ve had in regards to a restaurant. We’ve been 3 times since, it’s about a 40 minute drive from us or we would be there more often. The food has been excellent each time we have been there. The staff is super friendly and remember us each time we walk in, even tho it’s only about once every 3 months. I highly recommend any scallop dish, my fiancee loves the petite filet, it’s the perfect size at the perfect price, and every time it has come out perfectly.

One of the most unique places I’ve visited in CT. Private home converted into a boutique restaurant; owners still live upstairs. Then, coronavirus hits; they have to operate outdoors! A long shot success! They food and drinks are excellent, the service is like family, and the owners are running the place as you’d expect; like their home! It feels like a backyard barbeque at your favorite aunt’s house, but the food is better…give it a try!

This is a local favorite! Always excellent food. The waitstaff could be a little more attentive and smile more but the owners are amazing people and we love seeing them when we dine there! The seafood is to die for and the prime rib is out of this world. My particular favorite dish is clams casino. I order it every time!! The seafood pot pie is another scrumptious dish. The pie is quite full and dense. My mother almost always has leftovers, which she never minds! They do turn the lights down pretty low so i recommend a window seat or using an alternative light to view the menu if needed.

We stayed at Misquamicut but didn’t feel like hitting the beach joints. Found this gem on Google maps, read some reviews and checked it out. The ambiance was awesome – old house/inn feel to it. Very attentive staff. The food was solid, as well. Crab cakes and fish and chips were very tasty.
