I have mixed feelings about this place. Sometimes it’s delicious other times mediocre. This night, everything needed salt. So bland and super al dente. Service was just okay. The waiter never cleaned the breadcrumbs from the table like at similar price point restaurants. We did that ourselves. After eating, we waited a significant time for the waiter to come and clear the table and bring to-go boxes. Again, sometimes the food and experience is great this just wasn’t one of those nights.

An ok place to have dinner. Food was good, but not amazing. Wait staff seemed to be stretched very thin, our server was non-stop flustered, but still very friendly. The grilled calamari had delicious flavor but were too chewy. Lobster ravioli sauce was a bit more fishy than I would have liked, but the ravioli itself was very good.

My bf and I came here shortly after moving to the area. The service was good and the food was even better. You can taste that everything was made in house including the pasta. The atmosphere was great, but maybe a little bit loud for a date night.

I highly recommend ZaZa’s…..unless you hate great food and top service. Grace is the perfect server. Bright and highly positive. We all loved the halibut and desserts. I’d write more but I’m watching a movie. Just go!!!!

This is the first time visiting ZaZas. We always go to Cucina Rustica. I thought the menu would be the same but was pleased to see I had different options from which to choose. Typically if I am going to Barrington, I might travel a little further to go to the Italian place in downtown Barrington but see no other reason for that now! On approach, I was skeptical with the strip mall area but they have done a great job with enclosing that patio enough to make you feel as though you’re in a back yard. Sat at the bar. The lights from the patio gave the rest of the beautiful space a warm glow and vibe. Tracy was the bartender and she was very knowledgeable about the wine and food. I had a friend who did not drink and Tracy made her a mocktail with ease. That was great because she could have just as easily offered iced tea or water; instead she wanted to make something “special” for my friend. She was so personable. She recommended the rigatoni and it did not disappoint. The service was efficient, we weren’t rushed or left behind when a bartender is busy making drinks for staff and bar. The crowd at the bar was fun too; not too noisy but bustling at just the right pace. I look forward to coming back when they have live music.

Food was overpriced for what we had. Eggplant parm was mostly breading with very little eggplant and a small side of pasta. No sauce/gravy on the plate at all. Small portions for both meals at our table. Prices on the menu were more than the website. There were updated events, etc, on the website, so one would be led to believe it was also the correct menu.
