My wife and I tried this sushi spot by chance. This is a small sushi spot, but the quality food is of high quality. I strongly recommend this spot, but it may be best to order online. The rolls and sashimi are great. The fish quality is very good. Even the bentos/ entree options were great.

It’s a very homey kind of sushi restaurant. A bit of a local gem. The seating is limited, around 3 two person tables and 3 four person tables with a 4 seat sushi bar. You’ll wanna make a reservation if you arrive after 6, but come in early enough and you’ll probably bag a seat. The quality of the sushi is above average, though pretty pricey for what you get.

It was a happy accident that we ended up here. We were coming home from a day at the kids museum with our kids when the traffic home suddenly got worse. We decided to just eat out instead of stressing in traffic so we randomly chose the closest Japanese restaurant we could find. We got really lucky with Yuzu.

I have to say this is one of the best sushi restaurants I have been to and as you can see from my account I’ve been everywhere. It’s a small intimate place where you can have a one on one with the chef which in my opinion makes the experience even better.

My boyfriend is a regular here and he brought me. It was not disappointed. Yuzu is cozy and nice japanese restaurant in San mateo. Sashimi is always fresh and cooked dishes are also very good. I love grilled hamachi and salmon with fresh wasabi here. Please try that.
