Yummi Yummi unfortunately didn’t meet our expectations. The sesame chicken was all batter that we barely tasted a hint of chicken in it. The beef and broccoli was okay but the beef was not the best quality. The rice that came with the food was pretty good but that’s about it. The options in Leland are limited so if you are willing to drive, go to Wilmington for better Chinese!

So I’m definitely not a picky eater, but the chicken in our Hunan chicken dish was really bad.. to the point we couldn’t eat it. I thought it might have all been chicken skin or fat or something, but the texture was so soft that I seriously didn’t think it was chicken… very strange, and gross. That said, our other dish, General Tsos chicken was pretty good. Go figure.

I love Asian food, let’s just start there. We moved to the area 7 months ago, we had a wonderful local restaurant where we had come from and I wanted to find out new one. Today was our first try and it was disappointing. The menu options are great, the pictures and formality are amazing, the online order process is perfect! I’m just not too certain that the chicken I ordered was even chicken at all. Which was disturbing to me. My husband said his felt off as well. I don’t know if it’s a chicken thing or if we need to order beef next time… the hot and sour soup was good, the egg rolls were actually really good- I hate egg rolls, but these were really good.

Have lived here part time in Compass Pointe for 12 years and believe me I’ve never tried before, always went to Jade Garden. Never more! I was very pleased with my dinner, generous serving and was not cheap with the protein. My new go to Chinese restaurant.

Yesterday is my first day and also is my last day. I wasted my money for the fried rice and I had a bad bad experience ever. The Chinese guy came to my table with his face like I did something wrong to him. I wondered do they have buns and he doesn’t understand, he talk about me to other workers in there when I’m checking out. Anyway I never come back!!

Nothing fancy here – a simple, clean, restaurant in a small mini-mall, but the food is very good (better than most), the prices are fair, and the owner is friendly.
