I wanted a picture of the full sandwich, but in the blink of an eye, the first half was already in my stomach… what can ya do. Let me tell ya, this tuna sandwich was DELISH. It was my first time coming in and I don’t eat red meat and wasn’t in the mood for turkey, so his suggestion of tuna was much appreciated. Really cool spot! Great stop on the way out to Folly or if you’re just wanting a great sandwich that’s packed with flavor. Grab some chips and a drink and you’ll be happy. Ask for his suggestions, you won’t regret it!

We had the Philly Cheesesteak and Italian, both were top-notch! We also tried a side of the meatballs and the pickles, also very good! Highly recommend this place. The owner was very easy to talk to and everything was very authentic. Go birds!

Being from PA, I was really looking forward to trying this place when I visited James Island back in May. Being a pescatarian, I decided to try the tuna sub. I told the owner exactly what I wanted on my sub. He proceeded to tell me I didn’t want mayo on my sub because it would ruin his tuna. I thought he was joking. I said, yes, I actually did want mayo and oil and vinegar both. He once again advised me against it. I couldn’t see him making it, because he was behind the counter and not visible.

Must stop, stop driving by and grab a sandwich here! “No corners cut”, legit and I mean legit everything. That Italian was so fresh, amazing bread, toppings and amazing hot peppers even the greens were on point! My wife’s Chef Salad was also tasty. Did not have the cheesesteaks but dang they looked so good and the sliced beef in the case was really fresh! Hats off to this local spot and owner, hope to keep coming back for years.

Great little sandwich shop. We had the Cheesesteak and the Italian hoagie, with a side of his meatballs, everything was done perfect. Don is a helluva guy, fantastic sandwiches at a good price. This fat guy wouldn’t steer you wrong, you gotta get in here

Sandwiches are top notch. However, this is the south and the rudeness and lack of any manners whatsoever from the guy in charge is extremely off putting. Be nice and your business will skyrocket

Was so excited that there was a “real” Philly spot right by our new gym! Ideal for a hoagie after a work-out. Asked a few locals at the gym about the place and they warned us, don’t go there, the owner is just down right miserable. We figured, how bad could he be, but OMG this guy is insane! Works alone, certainly because he ran off any prior help. The hoagies are decent, but nothing to write home about. Reality is there are plenty of places that do good sandwich’s in this glorious, friendly and welcoming town, so who needs their day ruined by this rude, crass, confrontational jerk. JUST DON’T DO IT! Besides he makes up the prices when he rings you up, but don’t ask for a receipt, because it wont add up! And please don’t judge Philly by this guy!

Overpriced sandwiches. Guy’s there were pretty cocky…didn’t bother me much but totally see how they come off as rude. Philly sandwich was . Bread was dry and meat was bland. If you want a good Philly cheesteak go to Ye Old Fashion…10× better.

The food is mediocre, but truly no better than local comparators. What really stands out is the distastefulness of the person who runs the business. He is rude and abrasive, to be generous. Do not expect any basic courtesies. It remains unclear whether this poor soul is borderline or simply inadequately medicated with bipolar (perhaps both), but at least he knows how to make an okay-at-best sandwich.

Look no further! This is the definitive Philadelphia sandwich shop of Charleston. not only are the ingredients expert and the toppings plentiful, but you will likely leave more knowledgeable than you entered. The owner is a native to the cuisine origin and he knows what belongs and what is true to the original recipes.
