This place is delicious!! Their pulled pork is amazing. All of their meats are incredible. They run out of chicken because it’s such a hot item. You can’t go wrong with anything here. I highly recommend all of it.

Let me first say that the 3 star review in no way should reflect on the friendliness of the staff. The food was ok I had the smoked chicken plate with 2 sides. For sides i had the Brunswick stew and mayo slaw. The chicken was somewhat dry (I do like it this way) and the slaw was very good. The stew was a bit heavy on the vinegar. My dinning partners had the chicken as well and Ilamented that theirs was too dry. We did not voice concern about it, but the owner seemed to be aware of the issue because he came over and offered to switch out our poultry for something else. We declined but did appreciate the offer. Prices here are reasonable I believe total for a plate and drink was around ten bucks.. The biggest problem with it is it is absolutely not handicap accessible. My cousin with whom I dined is in a,wheel chair and it was very hard to get him up the stairs and inside. This is one of the primary reasons I only gave the establishment 3 stars.

I tried this restaurant a few days ago. I went inside where there were 2 tables of people eating. I sat there for 5 minutes before I was asked what I wanted to drink. Another 5 minutes later, she returned to take my order. I was just about to get up and walk out at that point. It was an omen. The menu is misleading and confusing, with there being no BBQ Sandwich plate available (only a pork plate). I ordered a BBQ sandwich, baked beans, and french fries. The baked beans were tasty; the BBQ was good, but quite salty. The french fries were terrible, being rubbery/chewy and lukewarm. Despite this, I ate my meal and went to pay my ticket. I had ordered water to drink. When I was told that I was charged 50 cents for water and extra for ordering a side of fries, I asked to speak to the manager (Doug, I think). When I expressed my outrage at being charged 50 cents for water, he replied, “This isn’t McDonalds! You have to pay for the cup and the ice …” I couldn’t believe this response. I told him about the french fries and he did adjust my ticket over $2 to compensate. There are many areas to improve here. I would not go to this restaurant again and I would recommend everyone else not to go. At least give them a year to make constructive changes and improve on the terrible service, the deficient menu, and the mediocre meals. Maybe by that time, they would be worthy of a second chance. I wish I had never gone.

I would eat here again. Food was good but the place isnt your normal restaurant. I liked the fact its in an actual house. Some wouldnt. Had a problem with to go orders being cheaper than dine in. I guess cause we saw the price on the street during an event and went in and they wernt the same. But the food was worth it.
