I made an order for vegetables on the side due to dietary restrictions, but they put it on my plate anyway. I asked the cook to fix their mistake but he refused and just took the vegetables off. He continued to raise his voice when I told him I couldn’t eat the food if it touched and refused a full refund. Cooks name is “king” at lest that’s what he told me different never coming back.

My favorite fast food place, which is now rebranded as Yoshinoya Japanese Kitchen. I’ve been going to this branch for years, and have been a Yoshinoya customer since the late 80’s. Their original beef bowl with rice, traditionally known as Gyudon, always hits the spot if you’re hungry for substantial, healthy, non-fried fast food. This alone merits 5 stars! Their chicken and other proteins are good as well, but there’s a reason they used to be called Yoshinoya Beef Bowl back then. Make sure you eat it right away, as it tastes best when the thinly sliced beef has just been brought out of the pot, piping hot, dripping in sauce with the onions, dumped over the steamed rice. Add some pickled ginger and crushed red pepper for full-on umami goodness! They offer sides too: my fave is the clam chowder; and your meal is cheaper if you order the bowl with a side and a drink. Prices have increased, but the amount of food for the price is still enough to fill you up. This location has been remodeled, as have most of their branches in SoCal for the past few years. They look so much better with their wood (?) flooring and subway tiled counters. Wish my house looked just as modern. Parking here is tight, with a small, shared parking lot out back. Also, you have to ask for a token to use their bathroom on the side of the building, which you enter from outside. But thankfully, their original beef bowl is always worth the trip. 5 stars for the beef bowl alone!

GAME TIME
The best Yoshinoya restaurant I’ve been so far. I’ve been to maybe over 20 different location. But, of course sometimes it all depends on how rich I’m feeling that day ♂️

Ate the beef bowl here yesterday and now I’m paying for it. Terrible food poisoning. Never again. Another reviewer before me called out the beef bowl as well for giving him a similar experience. I hope the health department looks into this place.

My second time here and probably the last time. I ate the beef bowl and I literally threw up. The beef was smelly and looked nasty and everything was old. Not to mention the customer service is terrible.

Good food, but always busy during lunch and would suggest staffing up during this time.
