Food quality is very low. The spicy edamame is just edamame tossed in A LOT of spicy mayo. The roll comes 1/2 hot and 1/2 cold. I was scared to get sick. The chicken fried rice is made with the lowest quality protein. I was really looking forward to finding a local sushi spot as I just moved to South Austin. This won’t be it. I didn’t eat anything and they didn’t care to know my feedback. They just sent me the full bill and left. My server was very nice. It was her first day and she is lovely and attentive.

Needed sustenance and made a stop into this little place, and thank goodness we did. The preparation was gorgeous, and the rangoons were full, flaky, and flavorful. We definitely ordered more than necessary, not knowing that the food would be stuffed fully, the cuts would be a mouthfull and so filling. There are a ton of options on this menu to smother any appetite.

This place is so underrated. Part of a small plaza, it’s relatively unassuming to pass by. It’s a small, seat-yourself restaurant. I’ve been here over 30 times by now. The food is always delicious and never disappoints. There is a Ramen Tatsuya right across the street but i prefer their ramen. You have to get the fried rice and drown it with the yumyum sauce it comes with. In my opinion Yoshiko has the BEST FRIED RICE IN AUSTIN. The service is always excellent. I read a couple other reviews saying they’ve had a bad experience with service but in all the times i’ve visited that’s never been the case with me. They might get weeded during the busier hours but the servers always try to give the best service they can. They’re very attentive and quick with refills and clearing plates. They also have popular modern music playing so I also enjoy that as well. It’s not a very big restaurant (only about 10 tables) and not super flashy but they focus on excellent food and great service rather than gimmicks. it’s definitely a must try!

The food was very tasty, but I was pretty shocked by the actual quantity of protein. I was super hungry and left hungry. The server was super gracious but offered no remedy (maybe not his call), the food did take longer than expected and the Jasmin Tea was on point

Edit: I’ve come back since and the service is a lot better which I appreciate! The sashimi wasn’t as thick cut as it was the last time, but it may be due to the different fish I got.

My family and I came to this place on a Sunday around lunch time and the service was quick. I ordered a bento box and it was tasteful. Both my husband and son got ramen and they both enjoyed it however my son said his chicken broth was a bit salty. My hubby on the other hand said the spicy tonkatsu was actually spicy compared to other places where he has ordered it. The servers were attentive ensuring all was going well. The food was not over the top reason why I did not give it five stars but in general a good experience for anyone to try.

If you’re around the area and you’re craving both sushi and ramen, this is a good spot. The gyoza.. was the best I’ve ever tasted! The sushi was good, ramen could have had a little more flavor, perhaps a bit more noodles( if you get ramen I suggest you order extra noodles) Besides that, it’s a small cozy cute spot and great customer service was provided.
