This is what I want and expect from a sushi restaurant. This place was nice, clean, lovely atmosphere. The staff was cordial and responsive. The fish was excellent. This was some of the best eel I’ve had. The rolls were excellent. We will come back.

By far some of the best most flavorful sushi I have ever had. We ordered the Gyoza buns they were incredibly fresh and hot off the stove, the bacon kimchi, fried rice was phenomenal!! Highly recommend!! The shotgun roll, kabuki roll and black samurai rolls have such amazing flavor profiles, I used zero soy sauce. I will 100% be back.

This place is a great little hidden gem. A small little spot in a strip mall that has traditional sushi bar vibes. Warm little space with maybe 8 tables and 6 stools at the bar. The service is on point. You’re welcome with a warm greeting as soon as you walk in. They have a very nice selection of sushi to choose from, including a whole board if specials. We started with the Age-dashi Tofu and House made gyoza. Both were delicious and well cooked. The cornstarch crust on the tofu was hot and crispy with a soft center that melted in your mouth. The gyoza were well seasoned and nicely cooked as well. A beautiful crisp bottom with a soft steamed top. We had a few different rolls. The California, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and spider roll. The spider roll was very good! The soft shell crab was cooked perfectly. California roll was good. Not great. A little small. The spicy tuna is not traditionally what I’m used to. It’s just a piece of fish with some hot sauce on it. Not bad, but not what I expected. The same could be said for the shrimp tempura roll. I’m used to shrimp tempura rolls being bigger and filled with more ingredients. Theirs is simply a piece of shrimp tempura in a roll. Nothing else. All of the nigiri that we ate was extremely good!! Fresh, flavorful, and beautiful to look at! the unagi and seared tuna were my favorite, but EVERYTHING was great! Overall, this place was very good! I would definitely recommend 9/10!!

So I will start off, I have traveled the world and have experienced amazing sushi many times. This little spot has set a new bar for amazingly delicious sushi! The bacon kimchi fried rice was a first for me and it was so good. We got three rolls and 3 Nigiri that were prepared perfectly. The three rolls were so delicious! Give this spot a chance and enjoy the amazing meal.

Their menu offers a great variety of options, which appeals to all taste levels. They also have happy hour with select dishes that are sure to satisfy your cravings. I highly recommend stopping by and adding Yonsei as one of your favorite restaurants in Thornton.

You guys, the sushi was so delicious; we ate most of it before taking pictures. We tried the salmon sashimi and hand rolls, the kimono roll, shrimp tempura roll, Hamachi jalapeño sushimi, bacon fried rice, spicy garlic edamame, spicy tuna roll, and shrimp ebi. It was all amazing! The Hamachi Jalapeño sushimi literally blew my mind. It was my favorite! We just left & I’m craving more! The staff told us they just opened in April, I really hope they keep up the great service and excellent quality. We will definitely be returning! Give them a try! I want this spot to stay in business for years to come.

Best sushi restaurant in Thornton, hands down! The sushi was so fresh and authentic. I was excited to see quail eggs on the menu. Tastiest green mussels I have ever had and the ninja roll was the perfect surf & turf combo. We will be coming back! A++ highly recommend!!!

Holy…WOW! This was the best sushi experience I have had since being in Japan. Every dish we ordered was EPIC! The staff was incredibly friendly and the sushi chefs were very personable and aiming to make the best sushi possible. The evironment is cozy but well dressed. Definitely our new top sushi joint. We will be back over and over.

Heard a lot about this place and they did not disappoint! With so many sushi restaurants flooding the market, it’s hard to stand out from the rest but this place has. The sushi masters are true masters, the food was beautifully prepared and tasted so good. They prepared my Ika nigiri with the wasabi leaf which most restaurants skimp on, the special rolls were carefully crafted and so tasty. Some restaurants just throw ingredients together but lack flavor or unique tastes but they certainly put a lot of thought into their creations. The wait staff were amazing and on top of everything. They provided my daughter with chopstick helper. It’s certainly the little things they think of for their customers that set them apart from the rest. The table next to us were even raving how good this place was. The sushi chef even made my daughter an amazing apple creation showing off his beautiful knife skills. Everyone was very welcoming and I’m so glad we finally have a great sushi restaurant near us! Certainly a hidden gem.
