Izakaya has been part of Japan and its citizens’ hearts since 1600s when Samurai still roamed around the city of Edo (former name of Tokyo). It is said that Izakaya started as a place where a local merchant offered some tasting glasses of sake to travelers, along with some small specialty dishes. Today, an izakaya is known as a typical Japanese pub that attracts all types of individuals and groups to spend quality time over a drink and some traditional small dishes after a work day. For the last 4 years, I’ve been fortunate to be able to serve as the bridge between the American and Japanese cultures, through my first restaurant, Yokohama. With Izakaya [Yokohama Ramen Izakaya ]

The best ramen and Japanese style restaurant in town! Very authentic cuisine and Japanese atmosphere environment. They offer great alcohol list and happy hours for people to relax a while after work!

This food was amazing, I got the spicy pork bowl with fried rice and extra pork. The pork has a good spice and the rice good consistency. Over all 10/10

Very fun and different place to eat! The tempura peppers were so yummy. The summer berry Boba was fantastic! We all loved the ramen. The teriyaki chicken fried rice was very yummy! The servings were huge! We will be coming back to try other things on the huge menu

Without a doubt, the best ramen in Wichita. They have a lot of variety, and have had three different bowls of ramen so far there, all of them have been great. I think my least favorite was the black garlic, due to the fact that the black garlic was very strong.

I really like this place, their food is delicious, always fills me up, I love the interior design, very, very nice! It’s a really cool setup. Their menus and nice and organized. Definitely worth it!! It’s got a nice wooden interior with canvases of different parts of Japan! They have such nice decor as well! There’s way more space in this one than the one in Delano district(downtown). They even have outdoor seating as well! It’s right over by central and Woodlawn, you get a nice view of the busy street. Ramen is delicious! I tried the truffle ramen this time and I’d give it a 7/10, it’s not my style but it was still worth it. It was still delicious!

The food was amazing but I really want to talk about the service!! My husband and I were leaving and I ordered a taro bubble tea to go and accidentally dropped it and it busted all over the floor. I was fully intending on paying for a new one but our wonderful waitress made me a new one for no charge! The atmosphere is nice and cozy, the food is always incredible as well as the service! One of my favorite places!

Another good Japanese/Ramen restaurant. The food was good, not amazing but good! The noodles and broth had good flavor. The eggs were served cold and a bit rubbery as if they were right out of a fridge. Most Ramen restaurants serve fresh, very soft, warm eggs. The sea food and pork were flavored well. The drink selection includes a full bar with Coca-Cola products. The service is quick and friendly. A very warm, cozy environment worth going to more than once to try their extensive menu.

I’ve always wanted to eat at a place like this! We ate at the bar, located in the back of the restaurant; It was intimate and the ambience was perfect. All three* times we have dined here the service was quick and the staff friendly!

I have to bring you sometime… Delicious food and bartender recommended a summer special mango sake that tastes like a smoothie.

Our first time here. The food was pretty good. We liked the Yokohama Ramen. The Gyu Don (Beef Bowl) was salty and only a few pieces of beef. Actually, there is not enough toppings in their bowls but you can order extra toppings. We liked the shrimp (both tempura & Panko) appetizer. The fried squid legs was good too but it was very greasy. Maybe the oil was not hot enough when it was put in but the batter definitely absorbed the oil. Doesn’t look like it from the photos, but when I press down with the chopsticks, the oil was dripping.
