I was excited to come here for the “soft opening” menu of Ben Yay’s. Came in about 4:30 on a Friday. The place was not busy, there were a few drunks at the bar that were loud and acting like overgrown toddlers every once in awhile and one other booth occupied. Our waitress was good. The decor and the building is nice, I really like the old downtown buildings. The food was ok, sorry, it really was just okay. I was disappointed as I was looking forward to Ben Yay’s, I will try it one more time once they have their full menu available, we’ll see if it improves. Ordered fried oyster deviled eggs and the oysters were breaded and fried, not much you can say about that, the filling for the deviled eggs was just the yellow yolk with not much flavor to it. It had some red stuff sprinkled on it, I assume paprika, but it did not lend much to the taste. On top of that, the eggs were not much better, not bad, just ok. They tasted like pre-packaged, hard-boiled, gas station eggs. I was really hoping that this dish would hit a home run but it was a walk. The sausage po’boy was very salty. The fries were seasoned well but the sandwich was a bit much on the salt. Aside from that, it was ok. The drinks were good, they don’t seem to skimp on alcohol, it seems like a good amount. Probably won’t be back since the food was not a huge attraction for me. They do offer 2 unisex bathrooms and the restaurant is located on Main St, so walking the quiet area after dinner could be an attraction for you. There are also other places to eat along Main St.

Went on a slow night and service was ok. Atmosphere is lacking due to renovations, but loved the food. Everything was hot, I guess it took a little longer because everything was made to order. I still think about how good the wild hog dip and blue cheese burger were. It’s my new craving. Fries were also good, with big portions. Decent value for the type of food

1st time in and probably the last time in. Went in for brunch. The menu was full of great ideas, but what actually came to the table fell way short of the best of intentions.

The food was great! I had the Boom Boom Shrimp, Red Beans & Rice and a Lost 40 Rockhound IPA. The service was good, too. And live music! What’s not to like?

A bit high priced for the amount of food you get. $10 for a burger that didn’t even seem like a quarter pounder. The food tasted very good though, it actually seems like they use seasoning were many places don’t. My wife ordered fries and asked if she could get them loaded with cheese and bacon. The server said yes but it would be like a dollar more. We were charged $4 for it on our bill. They’re chips were cold, most of them looked burnt as if they weren’t prepared correctly, by being washed to get the excess starch off of them that gives them the burnt look when cooked. Some of them were soggy and some of them were crispy. When we were ready to go our server asked if we would like to go drinks, we said sure we were charged $2 each for them without being told. So three burgers, two orders of fries, one order of chips, one soda, and two waters. Total cost just barely under $60.

This place is awesome. I’ve been here 2 times now and I’ll keep coming back. The food is awesome,I just love it, the price is very fair for the quality and quantity, service was on point both times. The bartenders make very good drinks that you can enjoy. If you haven’t been to yesdog, I haven’t a clue what your waiting for

Great venue, great service, really friendly staff. Went on a Sunday afternoon so couldn’t try the hot dogs as they aren’t served on a Sunday, but tried the BBQ Nachos with a few draft Michelob Ultra beers and we were pleasantly blown away. The Nachos were delicious.

Stopped in for a burger, it was decent but way overcooked and they put the butter purple lettuce on it. Service was great and the fried pickles were awesome. Speaking of awesome, the awesome sauce was amazing. Wing app was ok, didn’t like the seasoning, tasted like liquid smoke. Overall not too bad.

Undergoing some changes that apparently involve grits, but still great food, service, location and drinks.

Sat inside for 30 minutes and no one ever spoke to me or my 7 year old son. All we wanted was a chili dog for him, and he just sat there waiting while his dad tried to get someone to take/fill an order. I’ve never been impressed by this place before now, however, I try to patron small/local restaurants when I do go out, and I just feel gross about the way we were treated. Won’t be back, not that they wanted us anyways.
