Have been looking forward to trying this place for the past few days because I’m a huge Vietnamese fan. I ordered the Shrimp with Vermicelli noodles, Fresh Rolls, and a BBQ Banh Mi. All of my food was mediocre and nothing crazy special. For this area and with the small amount of choices it’s probably great for those that don’t travel around and find a wide variety of Vietnamese food. Where the issue was and the low rating is the older women who is probably the mother and owner is really quite rude. I asked for another drink and presented her with a card and she immediately was frustrated and said 5.00 minimum to use a card. I then asked for extra napkins and another cup with extra ice, she seemed frustrated and snippy again and provided me with two napkins and brought another cup out pointing at mine on the table and wanted to fill my current disposable cup with ice. It seemed like she didn’t want to waste a cup and made me feel like I was just some homeless person that walked in. Keep in mind that I just spent about 30 dollars to try a variety of their food. I will not return mainly because of the experience I had with the lady.

In town for business and I saw good reviews. Ya’ll. After a 6 hour drive in the rain, the bun ( vermicelli noodles with pork and eggroll) made my whole day! It is so good. Please do yourself a favor and stop in here!

I recently was able to get some takeout from Yen’s for the first time, and it definitely won’t be the last. I got the meatball Bahn Mi, and the flavor and texture was excellent. Everything was fresh, and the bread was exceptionally good. The meat pies are also a must-get item. My only regret with the meat pies is that we didn’t get more than two. I’ll definitely be back for more, it was delicious.

Traveled in to Charleston for a special treat from Yen’s, which was fantastic the last time we were there. We ordered 3 boba smoothies from a counter person who didn’t seem real enthused to be working. The smoothie itself wasn’t bad but the boba ruined it. The boba had a musty (like mildew) taste to it.

We stopped by on a road trip because they had good reviews. The food was fast and delicious. My kids really liked the boba smoothies. Go for the kiwi!! There was also a little mound park right next door to stretch our legs at before getting back on the road. Loved it!

If you are a fan of Vietnamese Bahn Mi, this is an outstanding spot to try. The Bahn Mi are incredibly good and BIG sandwiches made to order. There’s a nice variety to choose from and do not miss the Spring Rolls, so fresh and full of quality ingredients including whole shrimp. Not much in the way of ambiance but then again, it’s a sandwich shop. They have clean tables inside and there are also concrete tables outside.

Delicious little sandwhich shop! Absolutely loved what i got. It was super unique as I’ve never had vietnamese food before but i was so impressed with the sandwhiches. Ive never had a sandwhich like it! If you want a unique high quality sandwhich for a great price then stop by Yen’s when you get the chance!!!

My husband and I stopped here on our way to Ohio several months ago. The Banh mi was incredible!! We liked it so much that we are going to always make it our half way stop between NC and Ohio. Looking forward to stopping there soon.

Yen’s Sandwiches is the first restaurant I order take out from after payday. It’s not that they’re outrageously expensive but I stick to my dining out budget. And, I always figure in a trip to their shop. You can order ANYTHING on the menu and be happy. My go to order is the porkchop meal that comes with a lemongrass flavored porchop covered in scallions, it comes with white rice, pickled veggies, fried egg, pork shreds with noodles and a delicious dipping sauce. Decadent! But they have so much more! The meat pies, which I confess I have no idea what makes them so good are a perfect snack. At $5.00 each you’ll want to pick up a few. And do not even get me started on the bhan mi or pho. Plus wonderful sweets in the fridge they have inside along with delicious drinks. They have so many different bobas you’ll definitely find one you love. Enjoy Yen’s Sandwiches they’re great!
