The Yellowfin Bar and Grill introduces the new concept for island cooking. Celebrating flavors native to the Florida Keys while seamlessly blending them with the cultural influences and cooking styles of East Asia has made the Yellowfin Bar and Grill a dining destination.
We’ve refreshed our restaurant from the dock up. Expect explosive island flavors paired with the complex umami of something from another ocean, fresh caught fish right from the waters of Key West, and a refreshed atmosphere blending the stylish yet casual Key West vibe with a unique and elevated al fresco dining experience.

Pricey for good reason.

The place is beautiful. We had lunch inside, the view is very nice. The food was amazing. I had the crispy chicken sandwich that had gouda cheese, bacon and spinach, truly wonderful. And the bread pudding dessert is on of the best desserts I’ve had in the keys so far. Our server was nice too. I would come back for sure.

I ordered a tuna salad and it was really salty that my friend and I can’t eat it. I told this situation to the waiter and he said the manager said they will give me 20% off. However I just eat 1/10 of the salad. I can’t take this solution. Otherwise, I had two breakfasts here and foods were good.

The dining experience here is divine! The restaurant seating is spread out and opened both inside and on the patio so you don’t at all feel close to others.

The 3 star is an average of 5 stars for the absolute amazing food and a 0 star for service including the loud awful patio singer who maybe if he wasn’t so loud, his off-key-ness wouldn’t have been so bad. There were 5 of us and we started on the patio for a hot minute but couldn’t take the loud off-key singer so we bailed and moved inside. It wasn’t a busy evening as there were was 1 table of 2ppl outside (hint – get rid of the singer and play nice music!) and maybe 4 tables of ppl inside including us. Our waiter tried to memorize our order which did NOT work. Only 4 of the 5 dinners were brought out and zero mention or apologies for the lack of 1 person’s dinner. After at least 15 minutes, the hostess came over inquiring after the missing dinner which was not brought out until the 4 of us had finished our plates. Ugh. Good we didn’t wait as our food would have been cold. And then we had tickets to a show so we didn’t have time for dessert – boo hoo. Anyways, so we had to get out of there and our waiter insisted he pay for and bring a dessert and demanded we wait which was just stressful – read the table dude! WE HAD TO GO! The dessert was nothing any of us would have chose so everyone had a taste and we had to leave. Yes, something should have been done b/c of the problem, but giving us something no one wanted and asking us to stay when we said we had to go was even more rude and wasteful. And he never did apologize, just smiled and pretended he was doing us a huge favor ‘sharing’ his favorite dessert. What an awful server – no one is impressed by staff that memorizes orders and its obviously worse when you don’t have what it takes. We’ll go here again b/c they have amazing quality food but if that server shows up at our table, we’ll request someone else or eat at the bar if we have to. We’re not dealing with that mess again.

Overpriced for the quality of the food. Service was unimpressive with an automatic gratuity. Basically a nice restaurant for a captive hotel clientele.

Good, maybe great food. Excellent service. And if you enjoy fighter planes over head and a view of a marina, this place has it all.
