I went here during the rubber duck festival and was hoping to have a good experience at this local diner. I did not. I was seated with my girlfriend fairly quickly. We ordered our food and waited way to long for that food. You could tell that the staff was not prepared for that many people to be there during this festival. We did recieve free cherry cake which was very good. The rest of the food finally came but was cold. I’m a guy that’s for eating all my food and I’m sad to say I took one bite of their hash browns and couldn’t eat anymore

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! The service was beyond great, the food was soooooooo good! The chicken fried steak is the best I’ve ever had, and the pancakes were delicious! Can’t wait to go there again!!!

My sister and I are in town for a wedding and we wanted to get lunch. Tried Ye Olde Town Cafe and we were not disassociated! The servers were so nice and were not bothered when I changed my order! We had a club sandwich on rye and a Cobb salad. Both items were delicious and the homemade chips were great with the sandwich.

I’ve came to this place several times food is normally good and fast. Today the waitress told me it’s a 99 cent up charge for cheese ok no problem then when I told her I didn’t want the toast she replied the price wouldn’t change. Why even respond like that ‍♂️ I’m not looking for a discount or free meal. Not sure what was going today but this plate wasn’t worth 15.00

I’ve been going here for years and it’s a great meeting place with old friends and workmates. You could always count on a perfectly cooked breakfast with tender biscuits and delicious sausage and gravy. But the last time I was there, the breakfast food was sadly terrible. Biscuits should be able to be cut with a fork but I had to use a knife and fork to cut through mine. Basically inedible but I chocked/chewed them down anyway since I sat at the counter and didn’t want to be rude to the super friendly cooking staff. The hash browns tasted like sea food (old frying oil, yuck) and the sausage was so dry that it could have been pork jerky. I don’t usually leave reviews, good or bad, but I really want our local businesses to be successful and prosper but you gotta pay attention to the food quality if you want loyal patrons. The staff is awesome and friendly and means well but you just need to focus on what people come there for, good food and you’re sadly missing the mark.

If you are in Leonardtown and need a great breakfast joint, Ye Olde Towne Cafe will exceed your expectations. I’m a fan of the sweet potato pancakes. The pancakes are something you don’t generally find, the flavor is lovely, and the texture is light and fluffy. We’ve stopped by several times and Belinda has been our server. She’s amazing every time and her spirit is awesome. Keep this restaurant on your list of stops when in southern Maryland.

Takes FOREVER to get your food. Another old lady also offered us a free cake while we wait, but guess what? We also had to wait so long for that and hadn’t even receive it yet! Had not gotten anything the last 40minutes! It was our first time here, will never come back.

Update: sadly not good. I ordered 2 eggs over easy, scrapple and potatoes. (recd broke yokes & undercooked) the 2nd plate of eggs was to correct my egg order. As u can see the eggs still broke. The food was cold and potatoes burnt, English muffin was partially toasted. I did like the food here and always like to support our local restaurants but they need to appreciate their customers. My husband ordered omelet with scrapple and potatoes that he didn’t eat. Very cold and half a piece of scrapple.

Had a bit of an issue with my wife’s order as well as an extraordinary long… Long…. Long… wait for our food. They were soooo incredibly apologetic and seemed to really be sorry and care . Even the chef came out to apologize. New employee cooking. Lol. The reason I gave them three stars is typically, most places would have offered a discount or dessert. I didn’t ask, but that would have added a star. Will go back. Nice people and atmosphere. Mistakes happen.
