Nicer than a takeout place but not as fancy as a hibachi restaurant. Interior is nice enough for a date night. I only had sushi, again nothing super fancy. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a restaurant with the big cans of Sapporo. The sushi was good, a little too heavy on the spicy mayo. And it might be by design, but it was odd there was no tofu in my miso soup. I’d like to try their rice and noodles next time.

Simple Man
I got the filet mignon and scallop hibachi and it was delicious. The service was really fast and friendly. Overall I was very pleased with my lunch and will be making this one of my regular stops for a good hibachi meal. This place is much better than the one I used to go to in Ocean Springs.

Most disgusting food ever I wouldn’t even feed my dogs that! They was slow for about noon service sucked and way over priced if you want amazing food go to ichiban in ocean springs you wont be disappointed and a one was nice but I wont be going back

I’ve had such bad experiences with other Japanese steakhouse not being worth the price but Yamato has a special place in my heart, It’s my boyfriend and I’s favorite place we get it at least once a month. I definitely recommend the steak fried rice with yum yum. The owner has done such a good job of keeping it consistently delicious!!

1st going there and the food was awesome. I loved the shaggy sushi roll and I also had the Yaki soba noodles with chicken and shrimp that was very good too. Can’t wait to try else off the menu

Fast service, amazing flavor and very affordable! Hope did a fantastic job serving us. The shrimp tempura and vegetables is crisp, fresh and delicious. The portions are generous, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The iced tea was cold and fresh. My side salad and soup were both good. The Bento box meals provide a very inexpensive way to enjoy several tasty foods. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and plan to return soon!
