Guess I was expecting more from a restaurant with a 4.6 rating. It’s hard to compare because it’s a small town but twice I ordered steak medium and got well done, tough steak. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Chicken was chewy and tasted like it was either microwaved to warm or just not good quality meat. For the price the portions were rather small as well. Has the sushi during one of the two meals and it was solid. Overall I expected more.

Okay I will say I love Yamatos sushi I was stationed in Japan for two years and the sushi I have here is better than there! Full disclosure when I lived in Japan it was crazy expensive over there and I was a poor Airman and I could only afford gas station sushi. The food is great! I ate late lunch and saw how hard they clean the restaurant!

I got excited to see sushi and it was surprisingly really well priced. Typically in my experience sushi can be a little more on the pricey side of things. I learned however, you get what you pay for. I didn’t like my roll and the waitress still had me pay for it after eating 2 pieces of it. Unfortunate, wont be back.
