One star is honestly a stretch. This place was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant ever. The inside was dingy and run down, there were boxes and trash all over the place. Our food was god awful, out of appetizers and entree I only had 2 edible bites. Yamato in petal is always my favorite place to eat, but Waynesboro has honestly ruined Yamatos for me.

This is some of the best to go hibachi that you can find within a 50 mile radius. They always present fast and friendly service. The food is always fresh and nicely prepared. Shown in the photo is the jumbo shrimp hibachi with EXTRA shrimp. When you try it, do not forget the yummy sauce because it is most definitely yummy with the hibachi!

The food was delicious… I love their hibachi grill. Today I ate off the lunch menu. I had the chicken hibachi with the rice and extra chicken vegetables and rice. It was so good and it filled me up…. I loved it. Plus it only cost me $12…. A real bargain!

Food was good as always. The waitress was sweet but came to the table 5 times in 10 mins or less after we were done eating like it was against the rules to sit and talk for a few minutes. There was 2 other occupied tables and nobody waiting to be seated so…idk what that was all about.

Today was my first time eating at Yamato. My friend said it would be a treat and that it was. The whole experience was amazing there are people there that work there that I grew up around just a friendly atmosphere. My lunch date ordered my food for me cuz I had no clue what I was looking at I took the plate and I devoured it. Thank you so much Yamato. Hey shout out to the waitress Courtney for great service!

Very surprised. The sushi was excellent. I got the Tuna lovers, Salmon lovers, and dragonfly roll. I couldn’t believe how big of a portion it was then the waitress who took my order was very friendly. I will definitely be back to try the other rolls. Might just ask for chef’s choice and see what happens.

This place is great! My husband and I go at least 4 times a month and our food is always good. The last time we went the main lady was a bit rude. But other than that its a great place. The yum yum sauce is the best part to me. I have to have it all over my food. The steak and chicken combo with Spring rolls! (I get it every time) I can’t get enough of it. I hope this place is around for a long time.
