The food is not great. It’s not terrible, but not great. It’s mostly a place for college kids, keep in mind. The part that I couldn’t stomach, we ordered miso soups, the waitress had her thumb in them as she put it on the table. Then when my table wanted to order more sushi, they were too busy on their cell phones.

It’s hard to give all you can eat sushi anything but five stars because, you know, all you can eat. The sashimi was good and the fish was fresh but the rolls were a bit of a mess. Probably because the place is so popular and so packed, the chefs have a hard time keeping up. But $30 for all you can eat weekday sushi so it’s worth a visit.

A decent all-you-can-eat sushi place in the city. Its dinner price has increased to $32.99 per person, and tips are included in the bill, so be careful not to over pay (that happened to us which is frustrating). Service can be slow on crowded days, but generally the staff will do the bare minimum to assist you.

This place was a total disaster! The limited menu options were infuriating, considering the already high price. To make matters worse, they charged an extra $1.5 for each “special roll” on top of the AYCE price (see the Special Snow Mountain roll which only has 2 ingredients)! Unbelievable!

The appetizers were good, the calamari was amazing. The sushi rolls were not so good, they were not very tasteful. The service was disappointing, they didn’t mention the left over policies and charged extra $20 for that. Also, the waiter was not happy with the tips, which in our believe was fair, and demanded to give the amount SUGGESTED in the receipt. We left the place extremely disappointed and decided not to ever come back.

Great all you can eat menu. Their miso soup is top tier, the sushi menu has a lot of variety and they have an extensive kitchen menu as well if anyone in your group is looking to tag along for the all you can eat experience without the sushi. I’ve seen other reviews talk about sushi quality being low but this was not our experience. Service was fast and everything was fresh. Will definitely be back!

Yamato is a long time favorite. Nearly 10 years since we discovered them and we keep going back! We had dinner a while back that was not up to the quality we usually expected, so did not go back for a while. Lunch recently was top-notch. Pricing has gone up but not by a lot. AYCE prices are up $10 from 2020. FYI. That’s a general trend as things increase everywhere, so no problem. Quality was good, our waitress was awesome, and their selection has not changed. Just as bountiful as usual for AYCE. Enjoy!

Super fun times at Yamato. Had an all you can eat feast. The nigiri were pretty decent for the price point with a wide range of fish available. The exotic rolls are not really my thing and are the Japanese equivalent of pineapple on pizza imo, but if you’re into that they’re good. Only downside is that I asked for a beer and I’m still waiting for it.

I recently visited this restaurant with high hopes of enjoying a delightful meal. However, my experience was soured right from the start due to the extremely rude behavior of the hostess. I came around 10PM. Her dismissive attitude and lack of courtesy left me feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. It’s unfortunate that such behavior can overshadow what might have been a great dining experience. I chose to leave immediately, as I believe that good service is a fundamental aspect of any establishment. I hope the management addresses this issue, as it greatly impacts the overall impression of the restaurant.
