This is one of those places that don’t do tips BUT automatically add an 18% service charge. To add insult to injury, YOU have to scan a QR code on the table and place your own order and pay in advance. Not a bad way to operate IF your order goes through and you weren’t charged a service fee for work the staff didn’t do. Well guess what, my card successfully was charged but the order didn’t go through. After nearly a half hour of waiting we finally decided to inquire about our order. Funny when they said no we didn’t get your order we thought you were just enjoying sitting down. They said they couldn’t do anything about the failed order and that is have to order again. So as of now (2 days later) there are still 2 charges on my card. One says pending and my bank says I need to keep checking and dispute it if it moves past pending. Not the best use of my time. And speaking of time I had to extend my parking across the street after the delay.

Amazing!! I honestly don’t understand all of the low reviews! Sure it’s a little pricy, but you’re in MAMMOTH!! Helloooooooo! Anyway, the food was great and they have a unique system of ordering where you order and pay all on your phone by scanning a QR code. Then the food comes in a really speedy manner and it’s DELICIOUS! With a variety of drinks, ramen toppings, and foods, this place is amazing! My only complaint is that they forgot the egg in my ramen! But within 2 minutes they brought me some and they were delicious.

I had an amazing experience at Yama Ramen! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The service was incredibly fast, and the food arrived even before we expected, which was fantastic. Not only did the food taste great, but the variety of options on the online ordering system was impressive. Plus, it’s perfect for introverts who prefer minimal interaction, as the barcode menu made the process seamless. Additionally, they promptly served us water, adding to the overall excellent service. I highly recommend Yama Ramen for a delightful dining experience!

Went last winter. Food was alright but insanely overpriced even for a ski resort restaurant. Service was okay when they were there, but they were hardly ever there. We were told we can only order through the app, not at the front or through a server. This would normally be fine. However, there was a fee for ordering through the app. 1/5

This place is better suited for takeaway than it is for dine in. It’s order online only through the QR code and they may or may not take American Express but our party had issues with two different credit cards that we know for certain were working properly.

Before I went to this place, I went online and read some reviews, All were 50/50 good and bad. So I walked to this restaurant, and got in just as they opened, Me and another family walked in about the same time. We stood there for about 5 mins, before we where noticed by the gentleman behind the register. He told the people in front of me that they could sit anywhere, and , I stood there and he kind of gestured that I could sit anywhere also. So I sat down and he told me that the menu was on the QR code on the table. As I was sitting there i looked around and the manager was training new people the Waiter brought me a glass of ice water, did not ask if i wanted anything else to drink at all He came to my table after getting the family’s order. I ordered the Pork Dumplings, Karaage Chicken Apps and the Build your own bowl, with Tonkatsu broth, Chashu Pork with Molten egg, kimchi, and buttered corn. The apps came first, and then shortly the ramen came. I tried the Chicken app and it was luke warm and very oily and i could not eat it, the pork dumpling where very oily and tasted like one you get frozen from the grocery store. The ramen looked alright, but the noodles where like spaghetti noodles, not bouncy at all, broth was watered down with very little pork flavor, then “Molten Egg” was cold like it came out of the cooler, The Kimchi was bland with not spicy or vinegary taste, the pork had very little flavor, but the corn was alright. I asked to see the manager and she came out I told her about the apps and she took them off the bill. The Place look decent , floors where concrete, Tv’s with drink specials flashing, I would not recommend this place at all

We stopped in about a year ago and loved it. My picky boys were eating their bowl like it was their last meal. I tried their meals and they were delicious. We have been talking about going back next time we are in Mammoth ever since.
