Iwent to Yama Fuji on a Thursday night with my family, my daughter had her boy visit from North Carolina and thought it would be a nice night out having a hibachi. Out of the five of us, three of us had steak and chicken. Needless to say my daughters boyfriend noticed that the steak smelled really bad. We all took a closer smell to it and it smelled like a dead body.

This is our 2nd time and we had some takeout experience earlier. This time we had dinner at the restaurant. Waitress was not friendly at all and service was very poor.

Love this little hidden gem, the service is always good and the sushi is great! I had the wonton soup today, outstanding!

WORST!!! Hibachi reservation @ 5:30pm, show up ON TIME, as the Hibachi table has to be full of its reserved guests in order for chef to start. Well a guests “date” was running 40+ mins late, causing me, my husband & toddler to sit their for 40 mins with NO FOOD COOKED?!?! As you could imagine the frustrating looking at the time to see 6:15pm & NO FOOD COOKED???. No discount was offered for the inconvenience or anything, instead were thrown boxes so the chef can place our meals in them & we go home. Not fair whatsoever & will not come back.

I had spent the day traveling. I’m from Florida, so it was a long day. This place was the first time I had eaten all day. It was so delcious!! The place was spotless and smelled nice. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The wait time for the food wasn’t long at all. I highly recommend the fried cheesecake. It was heaven in my mouth.

Disappointed was the best word I can use. We were a party of 6 for a going away lunch party. Service was fair at best, multiple mistakes with the order even arguing what was actually ordered and never checked to see how the meal was or saying goodbye when we left. Steak was dry , dinner menu to get the option wanted was over priced and no more than the lunch menu. Waitress was less than flexible so doubt we will be back….unfortunate

This is the closest Hibachi in the North Smithfield area that I know of. We settle for this place because of the convenience of being close to home and the food is decent. We did notice when dinning in the portions compared to other Hibachi places such as (Shogun, warwick – Mt. Fuji, providence) are in no ways comparable for the same price. What is making me write this review is that when we recently ordered take out, I was surprised in how smaller the portions became for the same price. Going forward I will just drive the extra 25 minutes to get the experience I’m used to when I first dined at a Hibachi, no one can compare to Shogun of Warwick in Rhode Island.

This place is always dynamite. Service is very fast which I like. They are on top of the drinks and ordering. Food is fresh. Rolls are awesome but there is alot of similar type thing. I think they have 4 special rolls featuring lobster. I guess it’s better than crazy stuff like putting bananas with tuna (legit has that somewhere, cant remember where). I haven’t had hibachi but there are always people there so must be decent. Its a small place so if you want to go prime time dinner there is a wait. Give it an hour and it opens up fast.

Small portions … can choose 3 entrees for less money at other places … they barely give you food here

We go in on Tuesday evenings and very much enjoy the time with our co workers.
