One of the best restaurants in Schenectady hands down. Ordered the fried chicken and greens dinner with a side of Mac and cheese. Don’t even go around the block to that over priced “comfort food” restaurant. Here you get what you pay for (a whole plate). The chicken was flavorful and far from dry the skin was crispy and wasn’t bland at all. I also appreciated how the greens were cut and prepared. You’re missing out not going here. Food came quick too.

so yummy. so much included in the meal. Food was cooked fresh and clean. The fried haddock was light and crispy. not greasy what so ever.. all home made. Ive never been a fan of candied yams but theirs was very good. I will be back again and again¹⁰. The people working were very nice.

I’m so happy that we decided to go to YaYa’s. I haven’t had food this good since my mom passed away. So many good memories were talked about at this meal. Food was so flavorful served hot and plentiful. Thank you again hope you can find a location in Albany.

This is probably my third time going to Ya Ya house. I got a oxtail dinner and my wife’s got a haddock dinner The food was fresh and delicious and as we were sitting there waiting for our order I learned that they made pies to order. I think I’m going to have to go back for one of those pies

The collard greens are from a glory can! The mac & cheese was childish, super oily and bland. The fish wasn’t even flavorful. There is nothing southern about it. They should be ashamed of themselves to be running a black owned buisness so poorly. It is deff for people who believe anything seasoned with salt & pepper tastes good. Won’t catch any local Schenectady person eating here! Disgusting! I called & got a refund asap. Wouldn’t feed it to my dog.

I was craving soul food so my friend and I decided to grab some from Ya Ya’s. I ordered the catfish dinner which came with yams, collard greens and a corn muffin and I also ordered a side of macaroni and cheese. My friend ordered the fried chicken sandwich with sides of yams and macaroni and cheese. When we went to pick it up I asked about desserts. What I really wanted was pound cake but they didn’t have any so I got the red velvet and my friend got the carrot cake.
