This place is inside of a Shell gas station. An older lady took my order, she was polite and welcoming. The food was poor to put it frankly. Most of it was already cooked and sitting, waiting to be reheated, uncovered at that. She fried me a pork chop on the spot that was greasy, soft and flavorless. My husband said the sides on his plate tasted like a church auntie with the big arms made it (Means it tasted pretty damn good) overall, for what I spent, I could’ve made better at home and in more sanitary conditions, will not be back.

We just placed an order on Uber Eats and were less than satisfied with the packaging and quality of the food. The chicken and rice with gravy appeared old and had a bland taste. The gumbo arrived cold as if taken directly from the refrigerator. The red beans and rice had a scented/soapy taste to it, and the greens were soggy. Our family takes pride in patronizing black owned business’s and are in no way attempting to discredit this establishments efforts. However, it is important to produce quality products especially food. We attempted to call the restaurant with no answer.

I grabbed a quick lunch here to support a local business over the chain drive through a down the street. I thought my son would like the Mac and cheese, but it had a little more spice than he liked. So I came back and they made him a custom item since I wasn’t sure what menu item he would like. It was a hit! My lunch item was okay, but the peach cobbler was out of this world!!

4 Stars for customer service, I went back today because they were so nice the day before when patronizing gas station. I literally just finished a burger basket which was good and inexpensive, maybe $5. I got several things to try so meatloaf plate ($10 maybe)which my Dad ate so can’t say, got greens as side but didn’t try yet, update later. Potato salad is kept warm so not my preference but still good, I just put it in the fridge. Tried beef tips and a bit chewy and I also got 3 $1.50 chicken sandwiches. Chicken sandwiches are just grilled bread and chicken patty but crispy chicken Andrew buttered toasted bread worth the cheap cost. I wouldn’t go picking up Sunday dinner but sides you like but definitely lunch and if you don’t want to cook. Gas station attendants rock too, very helpful, courteous and community oriented so a win to stop by.

My family and I went to this establish on Thursday 3-3-22 and I ordered a smothered pork chop with rice mixed greens and macaroni and cheese and I told them that I wasn’t pleased with my order and would like a refund or something else they recommend I could try. I was then told by the owners son and also the owner herself that I wouldn’t receive a refund and they proceeded to be rude and disrespectful towards me and my family then there were other people called to this establishment as a threat to me and my family all because I stated my opinion. I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORSE ENEMY!.

I ordered from Uber Eats. My chicken was burnt. (I ordered 2 pc chicken and porkchop) I called and the lady asked what I wanted her to do. I asked for a manager and she said the owner is gone. I asked what do yall normally do if people complain and she said the owner fixes it…I asked Can I ask who Im speaking to and she said the owners cousin … I said ok so when will she be available and she said tomorrow… I said so when I call tomorow just let her know spoke to her cousin? she said yes… NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT… i wish i could give 0 stars

I went in there after eating the past two days straight thought it would be nice if I showed my homeboy some good ole soul food and when we walked in there the three of us saw a worker who had a mop bucket right beside her she had absolutely no gloves on and had her entire head inside the glass where the food was talking over it and touching it and baby let me tell you that was the last day I ate there. That lady should have had on some gloves and a mask nasty tail selves. IT AIN’T JUST ABOUT COVID IT’S ABOUT BEING CLEAN. This was Friday September 24,2021 right when they opened.
