I bought 2 things here. Their banh cuon was very good. Their banh mi was not. It’s a xoi place so I wasn’t expecting their sandwiches to be that great and it wasn’t.they had pre-made banh mi sandwiches laying out on the counter. That’s a first…I was wondering why. Catering order not picked up/canceled? There could be several other reasons but regardless, it wasn’t that great of a Vietnamese banh mi sandwich. Lacked flavor. I think it was the fact that it was pre-made that was a turn off. It’s because when I opened up the sandwich, the sliced cucumber and other veggies were not fresh looking at all, like wilted veggies. Banh mi sandwich meat touching veggies for a time will simply make the veggies not so crunchy any more, etc. Would I get banh mi here again? Doubtful. Would I come back and get something else? I’d say yeah, give it another shot. Not liking the fact that they sort of brag about how many quarts of coffee they sell a day on one of their photos. Kind of weird yo.

Goi cuon (spring rolls) are good! The vermicelli/rice noodles are not dry and they usually have a variety of options and they are generous with lettuce and mint: thom/shrimp only, thom and thit/shrimp and pork, and bi cuon are my favorite. Coffee also is very strong and has good flavor. You cant miss the banh cam duong but they sell out fast. Actually come to buy your food before 2pm if you want a large selection and variety, otherwise most things are sold out by then. They open at 5am but when when I came around 7:30am everything was hot and some items were still being brought out so I think they make everything on a rolling basis and the perfect time to come seems to be 7:30/8:30am. Sometimes it is frustrating that things sell out fast but there is a reason they are always selling out and at least then I know tomorrow will be all fresh food.

The owner of this business is trying to avoid tax since customers have to pay cash regardless amount of the transaction, no Venmo/Zelle accepted either. My purchase was $150 and I had no choice but to pay cash. I could have walked away but I was nice enough to go to the bank to withdraw some cash. I don’t mind paying cash for a certain amount of money but $150 is a lot. I am also a small business owner so I understand the struggling that small business owners have to go through, especially in this pandemic. However, giving customers no choice of payment method but cash only is rude and unethical.

Had a hankering for spring rolls. These were by far the worst I’ve eaten. Nothing but lettuce, glass noodles was supposed to have pork in there but not to be found. Husband purchased a lunch with overcooked tough shrimp on it. Would NOT recommend this pave at all
