This restaurant offers a set meal which includes a salad, entree, and dessert for about $80 and another $18 for a wine pairit. I got the prime rib and all I can say that I was surprised when it came out. The prime rib is a 24oz and it looked closer to a 36oz piece. This restaurant is not stingy on it’s portions. If you are looking for value and generous portions you should try this place out.

I had the filet mignon and my husband had the surf and turf Monday special. The Kauai shrimp were huge! The steaks were delicious. When you order whiskey, they have a whiskey cart they bring to your table. You can get it smoked too! My steak came with a side and a sauce. It was delicious.

I look forward to breakfast here everytime I visit. They always find a way to accommodate me with a window seat. The food is delicious and fresh and the staff is so friendly that I forget I’m dining alone. They all work together to make the dining experience perfect. This morning I had my usual garden sandwich and coffee and Laura and Thomas made sure I had everything I needed. Laura, thank you for sharing your stories with me as I was missing my pets too.

This was our first time dining at WSW and it definitely exceeded my expectations. My wife ordered the prime rib and I ordered the pork chop, both med rare. Meat was cooked perfectly! Our server was Lorraine and she did an excellent job with her timing of our Food and drinks. We didn’t feel rushed nor were we kept waiting. The restaurant manager, Kahoku, was very hands on and checked to make sure everything was going well. We will definitely be returning with friends soon.

The prime rib was fantastic. Unfortunately, for a place with whiskey in its name, the old fashion was severely lacking. Didn’t even have the large ice cube. The lychee martini had almost zero alcohol and was mostly syrup.

Avoid this “feedery of convenience” at all costs. They didn’t even toast the bagel for a smoked salmon bagel. Over priced, low effort, poor service, and don’t fall for their $5 coupon when you’re a guest at the hotel, it’s not worth it.

Such a beautiful restaurant in a beautiful hotel. From the street, you’d never know how amazing it is inside so make sure you give it a try! See my photos to get an idea of the inside and hotel areas. The food was top notch, very good and at a reasonable price. For two people, we paid $260 and ordered two steaks, crab legs, some apps, and had 6 drinks. Richard provided great service and we had no complaints, other than eating too much and having to walk back to our hotel. X) Make sure to try the bloody mary, and say “yes” to the bread!

We went to Hilo on a day trip and ended up staying the night. On our previous trip we had stayed at the same hotel. We decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was as a great meal for all of us. Two people had the lobster. I had the Mac and cheese because I want that hungry, and another had the impossible burger. Everyone loved their meal. The service was great and the restaurant has a wonderful view of the water.

We decided to go here for dinner, it was underwhelming. Bone marrow appetizer was excellent and my old fashioned was great! I ordered the ribeye and the flavor was good, salty with a good char but the meat was undercooked (ordered medium rare but it was rare and a bit cold, I judge temp based on fat tenderness not based on color). My wife ordered the fish and it was overcooked and had very little flavor. The price of the food is not overly expensive otherwise this would be a 1 star review.
