Be wowed with big as your face tacos and even crazy bigger burritos at this generous portion goto for your breakfast/lunch fill up. Service was decent and the food comes out hot. Would eat here again for lunch.

Not very satisfied with this place. My brother-in-law saw this place on Facebook and was wanting to go for days we finally made it out there and NOPE sorry but it wasn’t what they said. The tortillas were still alil raw the fajita were not real they used Milanesa. The BBQ had a lot of fatty in it the Menudo was watered down then we asked for fires and we got recooked fries. We asked for mustard and we got butter!! Okay it wasn’t for us but we gave it a try, go ahead go and give your opinion. My brother-in-law got this picture and said it was 5 out of 10 we didn’t take our pictures.

Showed up just before closing so maybe that had a influence on the rating. The food was decently priced and was good tasting. My review stems from my order of a Chicharron taco. I expected the Chicharron to be cooked in salsa, instead I was served a flour tortilla with pork skins from a package and salsa poured on. The green salsa was good and had a nice kick to it. Maybe that type of Chicharron taco is the norm here, I was just not expecting it.

The atmosphere of Wow-Wee’s reminded me a bit of home, which I instantly loved. There is a restaurant in my hometown that also sells huge tortilla tacos, so even better! I will say, comparing the two places, the place in my hometown fills up 80% of the huge tortilla with the ingredients you ask for, however at Wow-Wee’s, they don’t. Probably better that way so you don’t have much to have to take home. The food itself was delicious, except for the beans which tasted under seasoned and also the Gordita shell which was soggy. The service was great, I appreciated them being bilingual so my partner and I could both speak in our native tongues. The drinks are all bottled, so can’t disappoint. The parking was a bit limited but I was able to make a space LOL. I would love to return to try different things on the menu.

Wow wees is the definition of a small home owned breakfast taco joint. When I moved to San Marcos I hadn’t had authentic home style breakfast tacos much. Wow wees is now my favorite place to go. Their breakfast tacos are bigger than what you would get at taco cabana or other fast food places. Your standard egg and potato, chorizo and egg, and similar fillings are all 2.75. They also offer the XL and other types for a couple dollars more. It can get busy so I would plan to avoid breakfast rush. You’re supporting a small business that has been there for a while and you get really good homemade food for an amazing price. Great food if you’ve had a long night. Just go there you will enjoy it.

I got the Migas plate. Overall the food was good. Plates were like 50% beans and then the potatoes and migas took the rest. The beans were very flavorful and potatoes were your normal, needed some salt. The migas were good. Big chunks of bell pepper, which I wasn’t a fan of. The waitress misunderstood us when we ordered. I ordered the migas plate and my boyfriend order the mechacado plate. She gave us both migas plates. It came with tortillas. We each got one flour tortilla. But they were pretty big tortillas and seemed fresh. I would have liked some salsa to go with the plate though. Service was slow but staff were very friendly. Prices on the menu were different than the prices on the wall menu. But. The plate was $6.99. Where else can we get migas for $6.99? Not a bad price. The atmosphere was good. Wasn’t too busy so it wasn’t loud. It was a little warm in there, but not to the point that we were sweating. Overall, we enjoyed our breakfast and wouldn’t mind going back to try the tacos.

I’ve been coming to wowies for 40 years I think. The food’s always good The floor is always uneven sometimes the AC is broke but the food is always good and it’s always made by the same family members and they’re always happy to see you. It’s a nice place to meet somebody from out of town for a meeting because it’s always quiet and it’s close to everything.
