I am often in the Torrance area for work and adore trying out all the local food spots my friend takes me to. Though on the outside, it may seem like a simple hole-in-the-wall restaurant, Wooga Sullungtang is genuinely an authentic Korean experience. The menu is in Korean and English, though if you are unfamiliar with this style of cuisine, you may want to research it before ordering. We went there on a weekday during lunch, and the only other patrons were older Korean women and a group of university-aged friends while K-Pop music videos played in the background. The staff was very friendly and kind, and though my friend spoke Korean and I did not, they still made me feel included (including one of the older servers sliding me a fork without even having to ask!). I had the beef short rib soup, and my friend had the ox bone soup. I still think about how good it was, possibly being the best soup I have ever tasted. I have yet to find a better place or anything remotely close to hitting the spot here in Seattle. I strongly encourage you to drop in if you’re in the area!

Ordered the yukjaejang (early bird special). I’ve had better ones else where. They gave me 2 sides while other tables had more sides, maybe because I ordered the early bird special. I usually get like 4 side dishes when I didn’t ordered off the early bird special.

Had an excellent bulgogi soup here. Tasty banchan as well! Very nice servers and the servings are generous ( definitely meant to be eaten with a friend or two).

Love it! The first time being here, ordered a rice cake and dumpling soup. Taste great, similar to those in Ktown.

Flavor: Decent, but not great. It is what you should expect from a Korean restaurant that charges the price.

Came here on a cold day and decided to try their Mukeunji Jjim braised pork ribs with aged kimchi stew. First off, I like my food very very hot, so when restaurants bring the food out on a skillet or with a burner like this.. I’m just so excited!! The waiter pulled the kimchi up out of the stew and began to cut it. It looked so so good! They have us a side of brown rice which was also good and small cups of water. The sourness of the aged kimchi was strong but I really enjoyed it. The stew also had mushrooms, green onions and rice cakes! I will say this dish is not for the light hearted and if you’ve never had kimchi then try something else.. but I love kimchi and this stew was so so delicious! We had plenty left over also which we enjoyed the next day too!

I enjoyed the food here! Amazing galbi and Sullungtang! Their soup was pretty special as it’s not watery, unlike most restaurants. Also, they are not too salty nor pepper ish.

Wooga seolleontang in gardena is just as good, if not better, than any seollontang restaurant in koreatown. The restaurant is very clean and bright; the workers are kind and efficient; the food is amazing. It feels like food mother would make. So refreshing and comforting. The banchan is incredibly fresh and delicious and the mood of the restaurant is relaxing and calm even when the servers seem busy. My banchan is always refilled, the food is so good every time. From where I live, I could be in Koreatown in about 30 minutes ; but honestly , why bother when the food is amazing here and closer to home. Plenty of free parking as well which I can’t say for Koreatown. Definitely come here when you’re in Gardena, you won’t regret it and I’m sure you’ll be back it’s my favorite local restaurant.

It was a great visit during my transfer. I am living in Austin, so that I did not have had good Korean foods for a long time. I have ordered Sullungtang and Yukgaejang. They were all good. My kids and wife also loved the food. The staff was also friendly and nice. It was a random choice but I was pretty satisfied. Thanks.
