Our first time going here and the food was very good. Nice spacious atmosphere with lots of TVs. Not too loud. Large bar with lots of options. The burgers were fantastic. The pretzel was a hit. The steak egg rolls could have had more steak in them. Service was good – we sat down with little wait, and were told the kitchen was very slow and we should order ASAP. They were correct. It took about 45 min for appetizers and another 15 for entrees. Seems like growing pains and we will go again.

I don’t ever write reviews, but I felt this had to be noted! Me and my friends met up here for brunch, and for two of us it was our first visit. Lincoln was our server and he was super on top of it and very friendly. The food portions are really great and you could tell everything was freshly done. We will definitely be back 🙂

They spent a year putting this place together, and it looks like a modern funeral home sports bar? Hubby orders wings with missing sauce. Hushpuppies burnt. Cheeseburger uninspired. Tvs up in air so high, hurts your. It’s a pass for us.

I seldom rate a restaurant more than 4 stars but our first experience today warrants top scores. Their modern sports bar atmosphere is thoughtfully designed. Booths, tables and outdoor seating available. Everything we ordered was delicious and service was great.

My husband, five kids, and myself had dinner here today and it was amazing! We loved everything about it! Our waitress was kind and patient. All the food was delicious! You must try the onion nest! I had the shrimp tacos….OMG! And the fries were perfectly crispy! We will definitely be back! Also, try the spiked limeade, my husband and I are both big fans!

Food was very good by sports bar standards. Staff was friendly and competent but too interested in talking with each other versus paying attention to customer needs. The interior is nice but pretty loud even when only half the tables were busy.

If you’re in the Short Pump area, visiting Wood & Iron is a must! I came in on a Friday night with my boyfriend and a girl friend and despite how busy it was on the inside, we were instantly greeted by the hostesses up front. My friend had a broken foot and the staff was so accommodating! The hostess ensured not only that we were on the first level to avoid stairs, she also sat us close to the door to make things easier. Our server was very friendly and polite. She immediately greeted us with waters and asked if we were interested in hearing about their current draft list and specials. Food came out so quickly and everything was delicious! I had the eggs rolls and they were perfect. Crispy on the outside, the meat was cooked perfectly, and the queso was full of flavor. My friend let me have a bite of the brownie and it was delicious! The general manager himself, even came over to us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Wonderful food, friendly staff, and beautiful restaurant. Very clean and all their employees looked put together and happy to be there. Overall a 10/10 experience!

Originally ordered Steak and Cheese flatiron sandwich. When it came there was just specks of meat. Little crumble pieces which did not cover even half the sandwich. Ridiculous. They agreed and we got the wings. They were nice, but it was very disappointing. The cost of going out is so high, restaurants should do better to hire competent help and if you take a job, you should want to do your best for others everyday. Before sending out food check it ans say, if it were me would i be satisfied.

Great first visit at this new location. The kitchen was a little slow getting orders out but I’m sure they’re just working out the kinks of a new restaurant. The staff was very friendly and apologized in advance for the wait, which wasn’t that long anyways.
