I was very hopeful for some Chinese food but I have to report that all parts of this meal were disappointing.

The absolute WORST tasting Chinese food we have ever had! We’ve been “on the hunt” for some great Chinese food since coming out West a few years ago. Everything so far, pretty mediocre. Stopped here for take-out when going through Helena. Paid over $40 for a couple meals and some (what we’re supposed to be) egg rolls. Had a couple bites but couldn’t stomach it. Ended up throwing it away. Not meaning to refute others, but don’t know what you’re accustomed as Chinese food. Would give it less than one-star. Not posting to be mean—just trying to warn others away from wasting their money.

It truly was the worst dinner ever. I ordered almond chicken and they gave me something I couldn’t describe. All thigh and leg meat and get this, with the skin on. Fried wonton were hug flat over cooked brittle somethings. What they called sweet and sour sauce took 3 flushes in the John at water line level to disappear. Like a glob of Jelly fish. And they have been in business for over 40 years. And finally, after 40 plus years of Helena business the lady understood virtually no English. Tried to pay her a complement and she had not a clue what that was or what my comment was. I am 76 yrs old and have traveled our country and western Canada extensively so know what I’m saying. Spent $27 dollars and left a tip for the worst meal ever.

The chicken chow mein barely had any chicken. It was mostly sauce and a ton of celery. The eggrolls were burned. The only saving grace as far as taste goes was a fried rice we ordered. The only problem with that was when it was put in the to go container it had all the meat on top and just rice on the bottom 3/4 of the container. Felt like I was robbed.

Ordered Pork Chow Mein and the result is attached to this review. Hardly any meat (it’s hard to tell it is truly pork), 90% celery, and no noodles.

Grossest food I’ve ever tasted.$52 later..lo main noodles were Raman noodles and were even burnt. My poor child took back. I ate the strangest most greasy “”spring rolls ” and had some runny juicy chicken and broccoli (wth) ..so gross , couldn’t stomach any of it. I wasted money , could not even look at it so then I ate toast and jelly for dinner..omg. I feel sorry for Montana..this is NOT Chinese food y’all. Could have saved at McDonald’s

Some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Came here on a recommendation and was very disappointed. High prices and the food was barely edible. We ordered the orange chicken, egg foo young, and rib appetizer. Each dish was bad- the chicken was rubbery with way too many orange peels and no other discernable seasoning, giving it an odd and unpleasant, taste. The ribs were also overcooked with the weirdest gravy, and the egg foo young was mushy. After sampling everything, most of this $41 order went in the trash.

This place is awesome! I’d stack them up to any major city or way better!? You have to move closer to the eastern hemisphere to get close to better. I’m not a yokel either I’m a michelin starred chef that’s lived on 4 continents, I’d get drunk and eat here everytime!!

I’ve been eating at this place since I was a kid, so I’m biased, but this is my absolute favorite restaurant. However, I understand the negative reviews since this is nothing like your typical Chinese restaurant. China’s a big place with different styles – this isn’t the typical Cantonese like in most of the US, or TV dinner style like Jade Garden.
