What goes around comes around.
Originally built and immortalized in 1881 by German carousel master carver and builder, Charles I.D. Looff — nicknamed “Wolfie” by friends — the revolving centerpiece of our fine establishment settles between the see and the be seen and somewhere between myth and legend. Wolfie’s Carousel is a singular setting to enjoy a moveable feast with the vanguard of old and new.
We take the spirit of Wolfie and his carousels and pledge to live a life well traveled, grabbing the brass ring in an evocation of a Paris brasserie. Good food, good drink, and honorable traditions liberated from pretension and restraint, we welcome you to Wolfie’s Carousel.
Beers, cocktails & an extensive liquor list, plus classic pub grub presented in fanciful surrounds. Based on 344 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.3 stars. Price

Perfection from start to finish! Perfect place to go for a special occasion or just a date with family and friends. Dinner, drinks, and dessert were exquisite! Would like to return for brunch and experience the rotating bar!!! Service was beyond our expectations and would definitely make a return visit! Highly recommend when visiting San Diego!

Went in for just 1 drink but had to stay for a few more because it’s gorgeous inside, we got seat as the bar stools on the rotating the bar, had a friendly bartender that made us some delicious cocktails, and decided to order the fromage du jour platter which was the perfect snack. However, they had oysters Rockefeller on special which were not good. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy some more items off the regular menu.

Even if the service and food were terrible I would have had a great time. But to my delight the food was incredible and the staff were fun and hilarious and attentive. It’s a working carousel as a bar. Whimsical only scratches the surface of the joy this play evokes. Get dressed up, take lots of pictures, and order the extra cocktail just to literally enjoy the ride

I had an absolute blast at Wolfie’s. Met a co-worker just before my flight for dinner to catch up. Was able to snag two seats at the carousel bar. They recommend you call ahead to reserve them. Service was top notch as we spun around the bar at a slow and even pace. Fantasic cocktails paired with some of the best oysters Rockefeller I have ever had. We got two orders of them they were so good. We share a bone in ribeye for dinner with roasted potatoes and it was cooked perfectly medium rare as requested. I would definitely recommend and will be back to Wolfie’s when I visit San Diego again!

J’adore Wolfie’s!! If you want to travel to Paris in the Gilded Age, go to Wolfie’s! The carousel, the tiny golden lights, the cheese platters and escargots! The revolving bar and dancing carousel horses flying over-head are enchanting! The steak frites in Paris is usually inedible, but at Wolfie’s it’s like a filet mignon! Get a bottle of champagne and dine on delicacies as the music plays. Don’t forget to look closely at the paintings! They’re not what they appear to be! Great for foodies and a classy cocktail!

Great experience! Definitely a place you should dine in at least once. The beignats are a must be order! The avocado toast was both beautiful and tasty. The croque madame came with an perfectly cooked egg and a simple side salad that I wish I had the recipe for. Great serving sizes. The bloody Mary was yummy. I also had a lemon drop at the revolving bar. Food and drinks were well worth the visit. If you get a chance to sit at the revolving bar, do it! It no es around slow enough that you won’t feel sick while eating or drinking.

An incredible and beautifully designed place. There is soo much detail in everything. Sometimes you see little hidden objects in the art work. The food was perfectly prepared and the drinks are top notch. I’ve been a couple times for dinner but this was my first time for brunch and it was incredible.
