Nice bbq place to stop at. I would definitely get those smoked wings all day. The appetizer platter was definitely worth it. The sides need to be refreshed because they were not all that special.

I’d heard this restaurant served delicious, authentic, pit-smoked barbecue, and I’d waited weeks to find the time to try it. The smokers were hard at work outside the restaurant, and we grabbed a table outside and sat down on what turned out to be extremely hard, rigid wire-mesh chairs that pretty much scream “don’t stay long!”. The servers were cordial but not particularly welcoming or friendly, and they seemed rushed: there were only two servers for all the outside tables, so that might have been why.

Brisket with coleslaw, rice and beans plus coleslaw. Spectacular. Stuff jalapeño poppers were different. Not deep fried. They stuffed the pepper with cream cheese. Steak was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Side of salad and cornbread.

Visited today for the second time, and just as last time, today was a big success. We came in for lunch and were fortunate to get seated right away. The staff was friendly and the the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting while maintaining a BBQ style.

Good eats in the heart of Georgetown. Everything we tried was really good and the prices we’re reasonable. We sat out on the patio and there was a live band playing, adding to the ambiance.

Stopped by this place cause of a family member recommended it. I’m soo glad he did. The Ribs come off the bone and the brisket. Just look at the smoke ring. Pull pork was delicious and the pepper jack mac and cheese. A hit.

I like this location a lot. Its outdoor front patio gets an A for vibe, with cool locals, the right classic music, a fire pit, smoke smells from the barbecue, umbrellas on wire tables, at a sloping couple of streets so you can watch nice cars and motorcycles go by on a nice day and enjoy some excellent craft beers (like Maine Lunch) and some good barbecue. Everything is well-flavored (not bland) and well-prepared (textures and temperatures are there). No frills. I wouldn’t rave about the barbecue considering the outstanding barbecue-dedicated restaurants nearby, but I’ve never had bad food here. I like the barbecue! Normally I go for some meaty sandwich and sides and a beer midday or after a hike. Recommend. Been several times! It’s just not five-star.

I’m newer to the area and have been here several times. It is a great local bbq place. Rustic decor with a small bar and nice outdoor patio with a firepit and heat lamps for those cooler nights. Like all bbq, expect food prices to be on the higher side because meat is expensive and bbq time-consuming. The brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage, and mac & cheese are delicious – definitely my favorites. They have several bbq sauce options that you add yourself – they don’t pre-sauce anything. The bartender and staff are friendly and customer service always good. In my opinion, the food quality and taste is superior to nearby hoodoo brown bbq.
