This cozy restaurant was excellent. We had the veggie plate so we could try all the great southern dishes and the shrimp po big which was super fresh. You must try the casseroles and the cream corn was amazing. The biscuits were the best we have ever had with a touch of sweetness on top. Don’t forget to try the banana bread pudding before you leave. Reasonable prices and excellent service. You must visit this gem in Laurel.

The mash potatoes were unforgettable. All of the staff were just lovely. Haven’t a nice iced cold Diet Coke in a minute. I still haven’t but my friend had one and still loved it. My other friend decided a non-alcoholic Bloody Mary. The full kitchen came out to deliver this beautiful drink. The chicken and dumplings was the perfect dish for a cold day up in MS. I can’t forget about the banana pudding WOW.

Nice lil hometown family restaurant. Food was good and they had been really busy. I walked in around 130pm on a Monday and they were out of fried chicken, tea and rolls but still had jalapeño cornbread. Not complaining because I know they had been really busy! Just suggesting to get there early if you want more choices of food. Overall great restaurant!

Our family of 5 really enjoyed this place. We waited less than 3 mins for a table. The service was great, always asking if everything was good or if we needed anything. Food was PHENOMENAL!!! The fried chicken was so crunchy, the greens were awesome and they sweet potatoes casserole unbelievable. The kids liked the meatloaf and the wife enjoyed her chicken fried steak. If we get a chance before we leave……. definitely coming back.

Wilson’s has a great atmosphere and our server was friendly. The food was mostly wonderful with a few exceptions. The squash and broccoli cheese casseroles were not good. The cornbread was amazing! They have a small but nice selection of local craft beers.

Good Food and Good Service. Had the fried fish with squash casserole and both were very good. Had the black eye peas and they were delicious! With chunks of meat in them. Yum! Husband had the meatloaf with macaroni and cheese and both were good. Again, he also had the black eye peas and again… delicious. The jalapeno cornbread was good too! Menu has a good variety. I would definitely recommend this place.

My friend and I must have visited on a bad day (Saturday) 2 Saturdays ago. It was full of customers. The meatloaf lunch appeared to have been sliced and fried then covered with bar b que sauce. The greens were seasoned hot although I was told nothing hot was added. My friend got the pork chop lunch. Not any better. We were told by 2 different locals it was the place for good food. Servers were not asking how the food was as they could see it was barely touched. The ice cream and tea was great. We just chose the wrong day.
