I was looking for a late lunch and got to Wilma’s past closing time. She saw me try to open the door and even though she had been closed for over 10 minutes invited me to come on in and eat. Best ham and cheese sandwich, and she talked to me most of the time. The table I sat at felt like a kitchen table. She convinced me to get the strawberry shortcake to go and the whole meal was under $10. and the hospitality was the best. Going back tomorrow with my coworker for lunch. Wilma, her ham and cheese, and her Kentucky hospitality was the highlight of my day. Highly recommend!

I have worked at Wilms recently and was pleasantly surprised to learn that she really has some good/ cool meals. Like her hamburgers are to die for. And she makes great steak. You should really give it a try. I promise you’ll LOVE it!!

If you’re looking for a great place to eat this is it. It’s a hole in the wall joint on a side street. Don’t blink or you’ll miss it. It”s definitely a different kinda place.. It’ll take you back to when granny cooked your food and you were sitting at her kitchen table. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced.

When we arrived, the owner sat us at a dirty table. We were the only customers. The place was cluttered and unclean. We felt like we were eating in someone’s kitchen. Both the men’s and women’s restrooms were filthy and the toilets did not flush (feces in men’s room). We stayed to eat because we didn’t want to be rude. They were out of most everything we wanted to order. The sandwiches were fine tasting, but it was such a head game due to the filth. Low price. High risk of catching a disease. This was a twilight zone moment for sure.

So deff wasnt expecting this place. Walked in and the owner Linda….who is just sweet as pie… Was suprised to see a new face. But as i scanned the place…..its just like goin to Grammas to eat, complete with toys on the floor for the kids. All homemade food…Served on and in the plates and glasses you would find in your own pantry…. Its just a cute homely place to grab some good home cookin. Id come back. If your looking for a Mom and Pap hole in wall place….this is at the top of that list. No fancy gimmick, no signiture meals to put it on the map. Just Good Home Cookin

I sampled the buffet. . . unless you are on a salt and sugar restricted diet, I can’t recommend it. Even then. . . well. The place is in dire need of help. Mold on the walls, ceiling falling sagging and looking about to collapse. Dark, crowded, dank. . . the restrooms don’t work. . . I feel bad for her, she’s real nice, but it’s the truth. Best option? Order the pecan or apple pie to go. Great pie. Absolutely delicious – tastes like a family home recipe. I’d order an entire pie and take it home, it was that good. But the rest of it. . . I can’t recommend it.
