I was visiting from out of town and I stopped in at Wilma’s Diner with my wife. We were served by the owner Wilma, who was just the friendliest and sweetest person there ever was. This place is just down home comfort and Wilma makes you feel at home. I had the chicken fried steak and home fries and my wife had bacon and eggs. It was down right great comfort food. I loved it. I am here visiting my five granddaughters and I can say I love West Virginia. Wilma’s Diner is real winner, great food at unbelievably good prices, in a great atmosphere. I love Wilma’s Diner!

I cant say enough good about Wilma’s Diner. We go there pretty regularly and have never had a bad meal. Ms Wilma works there herself almost every day and she is extremely friendly. She loves to talk if you want to talk. The other staff there is amazing as well. Easily one of, if not, my favorite places to eat at.

Do not go here if you actually want to eat while you are there. Went with a group. Never even got my food. She was handing out checks to everyone else and I was like um I never got my food. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. There are other options in town where people actually care about their customers

The owner of Wilma’s is very nice and the food is good, but with that said a business is only as good as the service received. They need more than one waitress especially at breakfast. I’m not from Fort Ashby and I could clearly see that with the way the waitress treated me. No mention of what specials they had for the day and watched as orders were taken of people that were seated after I got my drinks but my order wasn’t taken until after them. But she knew them personally. Then she got upset when I didn’t leave a tip and told me I didn’t have to come back. They won’t have to worry about that.
