Willees Tavern has been around for more than 80 years. It was established as a bar and restaurant in 1935 after the prohibition ended. The famous fish sandwich has been an attraction at Willees Tavern since the inception. The current owner, Ron Ferragonio, and a previous owner bought Willees Tavern in 1972. Then, in 1979 and 1983, the new owners began to remodel Willee’s Tavern.

Fantastic place. My dad remembers it from his childhood, and while it’s not exactly the same, it’s still excellent. Massive cod/shrimp. Great fries that stay crispy. Great appetizers. Service was good, and the whole place certainly suited the food and its quality.

Fridays during Lent the place is packed. They have the largest fish sandwich I have ever seen. The white fish is mild and fresh. The picture shows a “small” fish sandwich.

there’s always some type if wait because of how good the food is. but it is always worth the wait. the small fish sandwich never fits on the bun and is always the size of the plate. we always have a hard time finishing all the food, but it is soo good

130 pm on a Saturday …. NO one there except for 2 people at bar. . We were a Party of 7. Ordered 5 burgers, a chicken salad and quesadillas. No joke… 1 hr and 15 mins (nope, not a typo) to get food and the “forgot” a burger. Cant make it up. Waitress was sweet, not her fault. But i could of caught the cow and made it quicker. I live 5 mins away, and ill continue to drive by every time from now on.

Had a great first time experience here had the fish dinner. The best fish ive had in along time ,service was fantastic will definitely come back again to try other things. We waited about an hour n a half parking was tuff also but definitely worth it. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

Awesome tavern with outstanding food!! Great atmosphere there are sound pads on the ceilings so you can actually hear the people at your table. Very impressed and I will return soon. The broiled fish was excellent as was their beef soup.
