This is a golf club of the highest caliber. It has local flair, with resort amenities. Modern, beautiful landscape, it is the place you have to visit because it truly is a gem. The aquatic facilities are huge. It is a long drive to find a nicer place.

The food was really good! And the staff was very friendly. Our server was very patient and talkative with my family (who ask a lot of questions and appreciated his excellent advice). The decor (lots of taxidermy and wood and golf photos) was maybe a tiny bit much, but certainly added to the “lodge” experience. And the food was fresh and well paired within each of our dishes. They had live music outside and good spacing inside. And their drinks menu was extensive, they had great mixed drinks (my moms vesper was excellent, as was my apple spiced mojito). Highly recommend for a fancy night out!

Food was delicious, atmosphere beautiful. Got 4 instead of 5 stars only because the portobello mushroom burger gave my mom a belly ache, but she said it was still delicious.

My husband and I selected Wilderness Ridge for a 40th wedding anniversary celebration, with our son and his girlfriend joining us. The ambiance and waiter was top-notch, as were the desserts (creme brule’ & layered chocolate mousse with chocolate crust.) The fried brussels sprouts (appetizer) were toasty and had great flavor, however were raw-hard in the middle, making them difficult to chew (we waited several minutes for plates, acknowledging that our waiter was busy, serving both outdoor and indoor tables.) My scallops, though flavorful, were lukewarm when served, which means they became cold in short time. The edamame succotash, rice and saffron upon which they were served, was balanced and wonderful. Our beef is with the beef: my son’s rib-eye was tough and my husband’s prime rib, flavorless. He commented that it was if it had been thrown in water to heat to his personal preference of medium doneness. Our son ended up picking up the tab, which with drinks was well over $200.00. For this, we expected much higher quality, fine dining.

Dinner was delicious and service great. Although the walleye was a stingy portion and I had to return my prime rib for further cooking (was raw). As we told them it was our 12th Anniversary, they gave us a lovely card and a wonderful dessert on the house: chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce (best part of dinner!). Beautiful venue! Will try again sometime next time we’re in town.

Recommend the fried pickles and Greek (lamb) sliders as an appetizer, as an entree the Buffalo beef tenderloin was excellent! Great, friendly service staff.

Best Bahn Mi sandwich I’ve ever had. I love the updates to the dining room.

I was there for golf. Having been a member for ten years after they first opened, I was anxious to see the improvements and was quite impressed. It will never be as special as Firethorn, but if you live nearby, it will do nicely.
