Small little Korean owned restaurant. Friendly but I don’t appreciate being greeted in Korean when entering a Japanese restaurant. Raw was fresh enough although cuts were small. Chirashi was way over priced for the amount but at least they don’t give you fake crab meat. Most places include roe in Chirashi but not this place. Seasoned rice was a little too salty. Service was so-so, unless we ask, they don’t bother to come ask if we needed tea/water refill. Lots of sediments at the bottom of the miso soup.

This is a Korean owned Japanese restaurant in the Westwood and currently takeout only during this pandemic period. Their sushi rolls and wasabi are excellent. I recommend this place.

A great place for lunch and rolls. Korean owned and operated. Roll central. They don’t cheap out on quality ingredients. I’ve been coming here for close to a decade, since 2008. Price is reasonable and the owner/staff are all amicable. They had free sake nights and byob no corkage charge policy but you may need to double check. A real gem in this neck of the woods

Fresh, highest quality, and awesome technique. One of the best in Bergen county. Although you can’t go wrong with any on the menu. My favorites are California roll ( the absolute best in comparison to all the places I’ve been to) , hwe dup bap ( they slice the same fish they have at the sushi bar for sashimi a la carte. No left offer fish here, and the combination of shredded daikon and flying fish roe are amazing when mixed in), spicy tuna ( again high quality tuna. I think they use bigeye because tuna quality for this usually reserved for low quality fish masked with spicy sauce is better than most). Sashimi just melt in your mouth. It’s a bit of a drive from where we live but it’s so worth it. they have been pickup only since Covid but that doesn’t change the quality one bit. Simply Delish! I’ll try to post pics next time. We were relishing on them before the thought occurred to us.

When I first sat down and looked over the menu and decor I wondered how this place was so highly rated. Then I tried the sushi and it was excellent. The spicy tuna and salmon are clearly freshly prepared with care. The quality and cut of the fish was excellent. This is not a place for flashy rolls and you aren’t going to have alcohol, but you are going to have high quality, traditional sushi.

Excellent food and great service. I have a shellfish allergy. They made sure things were clean… no reaction. I ordered a Saki roll and Dynamite roll. Both were excellent. We had Negimaki appetizer… again… perfect.

I’ve been a customer of wild wasabi for 25 years, and I’ve never had a bad meal! Big up to Young and Chris for keeping the freshest fish, and lovely customer service. I recommend to all I know. Much continued success!

The wife and I went in last week at around 9:10. They informed us that they were going to close at 9:30 but told us to come in. We were the only ones in the restaurant but the service was impeccable. We probably ate the best sushi/shrimp tempura in Northern New Jersey. Thank you for feeding us that night!

The food is delicious but some fish look expired and not fresh. Overall it’s pretty good, but some sashimi pieces could look better.
