Great gem in @portage Michigan for fusion food ! We went with a local group of friends from Lighting Kicks Martial Arts after a phenomenal training session! After my workshop, I was hungry and they said this a good place. In my opinion: a fantastic place! Friendly staff and prompt service !

It’s very rare I leave lower than 5 star reviews, but this place was an odd one. We ordered hot and sour soup, which was good, pot stickers were great, sushi came out wrong 2 times. Pad Thai which is in the pic was more like pad soup a made up dish. This restaurant is confused as to what type of food they make. Definitely not Thai

Our server was great, but other than that it was mediocre AT BEST. The chef was sleeping in a booth in the corner when we arrived and the music was too loud and played 90% ads.

All in all very filling and flavorful dinner. Ordered many different things. We like a plethora our first visit. So exciting.

Wild Ginger is a fantastic place to dine. Great food. I ordered Pad Thai and spring rolls. Wonderful. The Pad Thai comes in different spice heat levels. I ordered whatever it comes with. If you like spicy foods, this is one you would love. I love spicy food too but I would go down one level of heat.

All the other Chinese and Asian restaurants were take out only AGAIN due to covid. Thankfully Wild Ginger was open for dine in and I have wanted to try it anyway. I had the Shanghai stew and my wife had the Thai basil. Both were very good. We also had the seaweed salad and was better than I have had in a long time. The blue cheese wonton were dry but the sauces were good. The staff were friendly and the chef came out to see if we were pleased. A very enjoyable experience.

Sadly, Wild Ginger is closing soon. But for many nights over the last couple years we have gotten food from them and it’s always been great! I will really miss the General Tso, wish I could get their recipe!

This place will close in the next couple of months, and I, for one, will be sad to see them go. The food is always very delicious and made just the way it’s pictured in the menu. I’ll be stopping in several more times before they close in September.

I went here with my boyfriend and we were impressed. Their dinner portions were actually pretty large and the price was fair for the amount of food we got. They have quite a few vegetarian options (all of which can be made vegan ) We loved the vegetable maki rolls, it was the best sushi I’ve had. We will definitely eat here again!
