These guys are putting out an excellent product in a non assuming location. The two owners were on site making sure their vision for excellent BBQ was being executed and made sure customers were taken care of. The price for the portions you receive was fair and the flavor was amazing. The greens had a little bite to them but were super tasty and the Mac n cheese was good too. The pulled brisket was the real star and the sauces offered complimented the meat well. Definitely worth checking out even with limited parking.

(7/16/23 visit) The pulled brisket was flavorful, but a little dry. I didn’t enjoy the mac n cheese. The cornbread casserole was savory, but i expected a little more sweetness. However, it wasn’t bad. Just ok. The watermelon sweet tea was amazing. Customer service was great.

Tried this spot for lunch on Wednesday and it wasn’t too bad. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it’s Mac n cheese & coleslaw. Both sides were a little too peppery for my taste but the pulled pork was delicious! Especially with the sweet BBQ sauce. They have a good variety of BBQ sauce on the table so that was nice. Service was also super timely and friendly!

Food is OK. Its a take out place with limited indoor seating. Meat has a nice smokey flavor. The sauces SUCK. I tried the brisket, pulled pork, sausages all ok. Wasn’t impressed by the sides. Very mediocre. But I am told Sandwiches are better so might try again and I’ll update my review. I had high hopes since I like the owner on tv.

Being a Carolina girl, BBQ is one of my favorite things to eat. The pulled pork was really good with the sweet sauce, but honestly the sauce tasted like something I’ve had from the grocery store. The only other 3 sauces were just nasty. Plus, you had to pay 75 cent if you wanted to try others. The Brisket was chopped, which is not something I’m used to. My honey said the ribs were good without any sauce (because he got the mango, & apple sauces and was not impressed at all). The Mac n cheese only tasted like the cracked pepper that was covering it. Tater tots were good….but to spend that amount of money, I expected better ketchup….the fancy ketchup is just disgusting (and in packets). Not a fan of drinking out of cans, but if you want something other than water or “sweet” tea, that’s what you’ll get, so no refills….I was so excited to try this place because the pics showed such an awesome vibe….The employees were SO super nice, but again, if I’m paying that price for food, I expect better. Everybody’s tastes are different, and this is mine. Like I said, I REALLY wish I liked this place….

Tiny spot on a busy road in an area of town that has seen somewhat of a renaissance with the addition of breweries, bars, and obviously, restaurants. This one is definitely a welcome addition. The place is a work in progress as the eating area was small, smelled a little musty, and felt isolated from the kitchen and front. The food however was spectacular! Great seasoning, the cooking was on point, and the portions were generous. I had a two-meat platter and chose pulled pork and pulled brisket. Both were delicious but the pork was outstanding. The sides are great interpretations of standards like mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, collared greens, etc. Great desserts and beverage selection also. The service was upbeat, engaging and very efficient. Lots of online and telephone orders were coming in, with a constant line of food runners by the register. This one goes on the rare “I’ll go back” list

Always a great experience. A bit pricey! But what isn’t due to inflation these days? The bbq is to die for I just wish the drinks were a bit larger. I love the sauces. I’d highly recommend this place. And don’t be afraid to order off of uber eats because that’s what I do just make sure to tip your driver. It’s been fun to watch this place explode in popularity locally over the years and be a part of this venture.

Ok. So this was a pleasant surprise! I got the burnt ends at the last minute and they’re easily top 3. Well done, folks! The pulled pork was also delicious. The beans were super sweet, as I like it, so delicious. The staff were super kind and friendly too, definitely should be on your BBQ to do list. Parking is tight (it’s the Heights…so, as expected), but I noticed cars come and go. There’s now inside seating, place is kept tidy a neat.

Been in Tampa close to 5 years, and this is by far the best BBQ! In fact, might be the best ever. I have even had Terry Blacks down in Austin.
