Recommend this local BBQ spot. Stopped in and tried the rib combo plate. Ribs are seasoned well and have a good smoke ring. Side dishes were good. Bundt cake slice was a nice touch. Staff is friendly and ready to assist with any questions. There is more than BBQ on the menu, the wings are also popular. Service is not quick, so be patient, the food is worth it. Restaurant has run out of things which is alright to try different things. Parking is plentiful outside and plenty of room on the interior.

The food here has been phenomenal (ie: hot, fresh, seasoned to perfection) each and every time I’ve dined here, which has become increasingly often. The menu comes with such a vast selection to choose from that this establishment instantly became a staple for anything soul food/bbq/wings related as there is something offered to satisfy the entire spectrum of my family’s very diverse pallet. In addition to the great food, the atmosphere here is inviting and very relaxed. The staff here is unlike any other I’ve ever personally experienced, as the amount of enthusiasm held for the food they serve overflows and the warm, friendly nature of each employee I’ve had the pleasure to have been greeted by is without a doubt 100% genuine. These folks clearly love what they do and it’s presented in the food that they serve. Whether it’s your tenth time walking through this diners’ doors or your very first, I can guarantee you’ll leave here happy, with a full belly and feeling like you had just left home. It’s no secret that the Brown’s family’s main ingredient is ‘love’ and they use an abundance of it. I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to have an experience that’ll leave a lasting impression.

We came in a bit last minute tonight and was still greeted with open arms for a hungry person. My wife and I have been here for a first time tonight. Will definitely be back many times furthermore. Great food and great atmosphere even though it was closing time.

This place really is a not-so-hidden gem. Been here twice so far during my summer visit to Knox. The wings are freakin’ outrageous. I had to do a double take to make sure the drums weren’t actually legs, they’re so big! Sauces were great too! The ladies working the front are really nice and helpful, and it’s a very comfortable environment! Definitely the BBQ/wing place to visit in the area!!

Got food here today for the first time. It was as good as I expected it to be! The BBQ pulled pork sandwich and all the sides was amazing and fresh. I definitely will be coming back! Support your local small businesses (:

Visited there Mr. Brown (Who Dat Wingz & PoBoy) a few weeks ago and was extremely disappointed. First of all, the food was overpriced. Ordered the Catfish platter with wings and shrimp and it was $40. It was supposed to had been 6 pieces of catfish, 6 wings and 6 pieces of shrimp with 2 sides. I only received maybe 2 pieces of fish cut into 6 strips and the fish did not even taste like catfish. The wings were cut so technically I only received 3 wings. And the sides (Collard greens and baked beans) were obviously straight out of the can with no soulful taste at all; plus the coleslaw was disgusting. Not only that, the owner/ one of their employees had their small children at the establishment running around with messy noses while patrons dined. Did I mention the food was overpriced and lacking taste. Being a southerner and a fairly decent cook myself, this definitely is not a place I would recommend.

For months I drove by this place, rolling down my windows every time so I could get a sniff of the smokers billowing in the lot. Finally, I was able to stop one day and I haven’t been able to get enough since. Hands down the best wings I’ve ever had. The signature Who Dat Bourbon sauce is to die for! Everything we’ve tried has been superb; rib tips, Mac and cheese, baked beans it’s all that down home cooking you’ve been searching for. Support this local, black-owned business! Show them the love, you won’t regret it.

10 wings, fries and Mac and cheese. 1st things 1st. I didn’t pay attention to the sign saying “any fried food would take 15-17 minutes.” My fault. BUT DANG if it wasn’t worth it. The chicken came hot and fresh. It didn’t appear to be frozen store chicken but fresh handbreaded. Mac and cheese had a top layer of melted cheese that was delicious. If you haven’t tried this place, stop in and give it a shot
