You would be better off cooking your own fish dinner. I called in my order, and I was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I got there in 10 minutes. My order was ready when I got there, but they gave me old cold fries.

It is called seafood for a reason. I could not see the food inside the glass display case due to cloudy glass. The fish tasted good but the quantity they give you for the price I felt some type of way. especially since I had to make something else later that evening because my son was hungry again to to rationed portions. I would have been better off buying the groceries and making it myself

I always prefer to call in my orders for fish no matter where I go. Not at whitehurst. I get out on hold every single time. Usually I can’t wait that long so I hang up and go elsewhere. The quality of food is decent considering the price and service. But I feel like it should be better.

I used to work close to Whitehurst 20 years ago and it was delicious! Now it is terrible. Fish has no seasoning. Shrimp tasted day old, and the mac and slightly cheese was weak. None of the sides were good. Won’t be coming back. Super Fish is a few blocks north on Crenshaw. Go there instead.

My husband and I tried Whitehurst Fried Fish for the first time today. Everything we ordered was delicious. The fish was fresh, the portions were very generous, and seasoned perfectly with very little salt and lots of flavorful spices. We were pleasantly surprised. We definitely plan to come again.
