We stayed at the hotel connected with this tavern, though I don’t agree that it’s a tavern. This is a full menu restaurant (not just bar food) and the food was excellent. The staff was very pleasant and the adjacent bar was fun with live music every weekend.

Located beside the main road this is a good place to try out. We made a Friday dinner stop out here and got Rosemary Truffle fries and Schnitzel. Both of them were pretty good and definitely worth a try. Pork in Schnitzel was very juicy along with the capers that enhanced the flavor. The aioli sauce and the subtle truffle in rosemary fries did make it above average fries. The service was slow and the place seemed to be little on the cooler side not sure if the heater was not working or it was too cold outside. Regardless the food quality was pretty good.

I vacation every year in Lincoln NH. Decided to try a new place to eat called the White Mountain Tavern. They are located at the Woodward’s Inn & are open 3-9 every day which is very convenient. A lot of restaurants in the area are closed on various days of the week. I enjoyed my experience there largely because of my server Melissa who was wonderful. She went out of her way to customize a drink order for me & made it just the way I like it. Also they don’t have side orders of onion rings. They are only served with certain dishes. I read some other reviews that they are hand breaded & very good so I asked Melissa if I could substitute them instead of French fries. She said she would try as they usually don’t do that. Because they weren’t busy she was able to do this for me. They were delicious. Fried to perfection & not greasy at all. Maybe the chef should consider adding them as a side order to the menu. They were out of the pork belly sliders so Melissa recommended the fried fish which I got instead. It was so good & also hand breaded. The fish was moist on the inside & fried golden brown on the outside. Delicious. I definitely will be coming back again when I visit the area. Not only for the yummy food but also for the great customer service. Thanks Melissa!

White Mountain Tavern is our new go-to spot in the Lincoln area. While we’ll always have a soft spot for our previous hangout, the Woodstock Inn, the food here is simply better and more varied. I had a planked salmon on a bed of bok choy, crisped rice, and a creamy mint sauce. The salmon was cooked perfectly, moist and a slightly darker pink on the inside. The crisped rice was inventive, as was the sauce. Everyone else also really enjoyed her dishes and the plates were all clean at the end of the meal. We enjoyed the cocktails too. My wife had a drink with ginger beer in it and it had fizz with just a touch of sweetness. Mine was a “gin blossom,” and it had a hint of sweetness from the elderflower liqueur but was well balanced. Our kids got the chocolate cake for dessert, and I tried a couple bites. It was rich with varied textures and excellent flavor. Attentive service. Truly a 5-star experience at this slightly out-of-the-way place on the north side of town – we will be seeking it out from now on.

Great food and great service. A bit pricey but well worth it. Not a crumb on the plate. Steaks, fish, salads were fabulous. Staff so pleasant and efficient. Desserts are wonderful. Highly recommend.

We stopped in for a cocktail after dinner, so I can’t speak to the quality of the food but Melissa makes a mean drink. She’s funny, welcoming and engaging. I will be back.

My family & I discovered this restaurant tonight. What a find! As quality restaurant choices up this way can be challenging to find, we were all pleasantly surprised. All of our meals were fantastic and the service was great. A nice, homey feel with some of the best food i’ve had in the White Mountains. We will be making this place a regular stop moving forward. 5 stars!

We stayed at the hotel attached to this restaurant, was a little mislead by the hotel description and photos, but thankfully this Restaurant was there!! Everything about it made our trip!!! The food was incredible (Shoutout to Chef Chris) and even did a takeout order of Dumplings to enjoy the next day!! Service and drinks were on point and it was literally the best part of our first vacation (away from our littles)!!! We want to come back and bring the kids soon!! Thanks Melissa!! Can’t wait to see you on Restaurant Impossible March 30th 2023!!!

This place is a hidden gem! I can’t express the amount of amazing hospitality I received from this location! Phenomenal! David (the owner of the tavern) is absolutely top notch when it comes to customer service and satisfaction! We came out to eat and have dinner here and the experience was 5 star! Drinks and food expectations were surpassed. There are wonderful patrons and staff. We experienced live music (acoustic guitar) by Jeff Lines. My family and I enjoyed a great, entertaining, acoustic show by Jeff (available for bookings as well, look him up on fb.) Dave, and his entire crew surpassed our expectations tenfold! Thank you so much! You truly deserve every gold star available! We will most certainly be back to visit this little gem!
