Amazing 2nd time at this establishment. My husband and I were delighted to get a last minute reservation this evening. Our server was amazing and very knowledgeable about the menu. The beverages were unique and delicious. We sat at the upstairs bar where you can view the kitchen staff as they prepare food. Very clean, meticulous and well run kitchen. We always recommend this restaurant to friends and clients.

Wow! What a place! The food, service and atmosphere was all amazing. The main dining area books out very quick, but there are seats available at the bar and kitchen for walk ins. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and craft. The food and drinks looked great and tasted equally good. I will definitely come back and will recommend W&R to anyone visiting Anchorage!

My visit to Whiskey and Ramen did not disappoint! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was delightful. I was seated in the whiskey bar at the bar. I was able to see the cocktails made and chat with the bartenders. I ordered a BB Queen from the cocktail list. It was tart and fruity and was served with a smoke bubble on top. I started my meal with the hamachi crudo. The yellowtail was very fresh and the presentation was beautiful. I ordered the dark horse ramen next. The broth was flavorful and rich, the meat tender and juicy, and the noodles tasted very fresh. I would order it all again tomorrow if I lived in Anchorage. I will definitely be back when I’m in town!

Amazing service by Alex. He was very attentive and made great recommendations for our drinks. Food was top notch. We had the dark horse and business lounge, both so delicious. The ambiance is fantastic and they even have a bidet in the bathroom which anyone who’s lived in Asia for a period of time would appreciate. I wish this restaurant had a location in the interior we would be frequent flyers.

I VERY rarely write reviews, but this was hands-down our favorite restaurant in our entire Alaska trip, and is likely one of our best meals ever. The cocktails were so good we had a second round in order to try more, and every dish, from appetizers to ramen to dessert, was a 10 out of 10. Yes, they recommended reservations, but they also reserve some bar tables for walk-ins so don’t be deterred. Worth every penny–just wish we don’t have to fly to Alaska to go again!

W&R atmosphere is great. Sitting at the ramen bar is always a delight, watching the chef and staff prepare the dishes. I tried “The Hook” tonkotsu ramen and the broth was a standout (rich and right amount of salt to not overpower the flavors), one of my favorite to date. The pork chashu, ramen, and ajitsuke tamago were solid all around. I ordered the scotch tamago, and I was confused what they were going for with this flavor wise. I think they tried to do too much with this dish. It is visually appealing, textures were good, but the flavors did not pop or excite compared to it visually. I will be back soon to try the other ramen.

Whisky & Ramen is an all-around great experience. The atmosphere is relaxing and the music isn’t too loud. The service was wonderful, everyone was friendly and polite. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and was able to easily describe and recommend drink and food items. The drinks were unique but the flavors melded together well. The food was delicious and portion sizes. The ingredients were fresh and seemed good quality as well. We had a reservation which made it much easier for seating, though they did have some room for walk-ins as well. Highly recommend!

We booked our reservation about two months in advance to be able to eat at a decent hour. As soon as we walked in, the ambiance was modern and exciting. They have a ramen bar upstairs, a dining room and a whiskey bar downstairs. We sat in the dining room downstairs. We started off by ordering our drinks: Gloria highball (nice and refreshing) and Tree of Benevento (absolutely delicious and flavorful). We then ordered our appetizers: whisky pork buns. We asked (it says so on the menu) that there is an option to make the buns vegan by substituting the pork with shiitake mushrooms. We did just that and got one of each so we could both try them. I then ordered The Outsider ramen and my husband The Dark Horse ramen, both pretty good. The portions are small, but the ramen is very filling. They make their noodles fresh and you can definitely taste that. The service was very fast and we completed our meal in a little over an hour. It wasn’t too busy at that time (5:30 pm) so the staff was able to focus on the few tables that were filled. The restaurant doesn’t offer happy hour specials but it was worth going this early, it began getting pretty crowded as we were leaving.
